Exceptional service and food. Recommend by a local shop keeper so was excited to check it out. Came today and it was super busy so had to wait for a table but was worth the wait and once inside my meal was served fast and staff were attentive and friendly. I ordered the seafood platter and it was fresh and delicious! Generous serving and value for money. Compliments to the chef and staff! Will be returning on my next trip to Brighton! �
An absolute diamond. Imogen wanted prawn pasta which wasn’t on the kids menu . The waiter didn’t say anything then turned up to surprise her with , what she asked for . They couldn’t do enough and the food was sublime. Highly recommend the deep fried fish platter.
Amazing place, I was here 20 years ago and I headed straight back, and to my amazement it was the same quality just bigger, very friendly staff and fish and chips to die for, thank you and see you next time.
Drove down from london to have lunch here on a busy sunday afternoon....waited 5 mins for a table...food was excellent as always...my favourute restaurant....recommend it to anyone...

I arrived with my dad for his 80th bithday and had not booked a table and it was very busy. Had a table in minutes, the food was fantastic and the service exceptional! Also for a restaurant on Brighton seafront the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back when I'm next in Brighton

A lovely Brighton beach restaurant. Lovely seaside view. Friendly and attentive staff. Fast service. We each had a fish and chips. Fish batter was not super thick (pleasantly surprised) and the chips were hot and a good size. Lovely to sit in the sun and enjoy a meal. Lovely restaurant and if you are on the Brighton beachfront and want fish & chips - I would recommend this spot!
me & my partner came here a few months ago, we ordered a selection of delicious seafood! highlights being the mouth watering mussels & scallops! i was amazed by the impressive range of celebrity visitor photos that covered the walls on the downstairs area. big fan of the architecture and was very lucky to be seated by the beautiful windows! fantastic atmosphere, great drinks and food, would definitely recommend <3

We had heard wonderful things and yes it certainly was a wonderful place to take our family to.
The oysters were sublime, especially with a glass of champagne.
Everything else we ordered may have seemed simple in the ingredients, but it was made with pure love and Italian culinary skills that are handed down from generation to generation. We felt privileged to be able to dine there, and the staff were extremely attentive and funny.
It was buzzing in there, and nothing was too much to ask.
I've never seen a service that good, to be honest. The drinks were on your on your table within a few minutes, and the food followed as quickly as you wanted it to even though it was packed, you were treated as if you only the ones there.
We can't wait to go back. It's a proper treat, especially for fish lovers. Highly recommended.

We woke up on a sunny saturday in London, deciding to head to Brighton at the request of my Southern Italian girlfriend so she could return to the Regency Restaurant for some seafood. I was more than happy to do so, as I was craving seafood too.
As we approached the restaurant it was sat on a corner looking out onto the sea, and when you walk in you get a similar feeling of fishing with the big open restaurant and decor reminiscent of doing that. When inside you can look out onto the ocean getting that connection and a reminder, your food came from what you see in front of you. The sea.
We were warmly welcomed into this busy yet calm restaurant, with everyone seeming to enjoy their food. However the other noticeable thing was the amazing smells you inhale as you breathe in the whiff of sea air from the fresh food being served. As we sat down to order our food we decided on getting a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the classic English prawn cocktail starter before we would enjoy "The Mediterranean" main course. While waiting for the food it was noticed the staff were a mixture of Greek and Portuguese folks, and that for me added validation the food was going to be very good as people from those parts of the world know how to cook seafood well.
First our Prawn Cocktail arrived and it was very tasty for a simple dish, with the freshness from the prawns tasted with every bite. However the grand show was the arrival of "The Mediterranean" main course we ordered, and when it arrived it was a dish fitnfirnthe gods. Seeing a nice piece of hake on top of an assortment of shellfish had my eyes salivating, with smells anyone would die for. While we started eating and noticed all the juices from the cooking, we asked for some bread. Adding pieces of bread to the plate I realised how great this dish was just from the taste of the bread, once it had soaked up all the goodness on the bottom of the plate.
There are reasons my girlfriend wanted to come back to the Regency Restaurant, which I now understand and would happily return. When you are welcomed as if you entered a family home full of love and can have great conversations with staff, before experiencing the amazing food and ambiance of this restaurant. You know this restaurant is a gem to Brighton and England.
If I ever have a craving for great seafood, I would easily jump on a train leaving London to have more seafood at the Regency Restaurant!
If you're near the sea, having fish is almost a must to get. Because of that, I chose to go to Regency Restaurant after seeing some previous reviews and it was by no means a mistake. It was fantastic there with excellent food and very friendly staff.
Ordered 6 scallops, it taste so good even ordered 6 more!! Will recommend family and friends for gatherings.

Very centrally located restaurant with an outdoor area and a view of the sea. The staff responded to requests in an uncomplicated manner. Large selection of quickly prepared dishes, especially from Mediterranean cuisine, therefore also recommended if you don't have much time.
Beautifully cooked seafood at a seafront restaurant. Solid classic dishes, nothing fancy, just cooked right to bring out the full flavour of fresh seafood. The whitebait was plump and lightly breaded, the skate was perfectly cooked in a simple but tasty white wine and caper sauce. My partner's swordfish steak was also lovely. Service was friendly despite being very busy. There was a lively buzz throughout the restaurant. Bathroom was clean. Prices reasonable. Will definitely come here again when we're next in the area.

We stayed at a hotel Just right beside this hotel and in their brochure they recommended this restaurant, and after reading all the incredible reviews we decided to order from here. We got room service. Let’s just say this place did not disappoint. The sea bass arrived to our room nice and hot and well presented. The fish was Devine, and just falling from the skin. Just made perfectly. So soft. The Greek salad 🥗 small but delicious and added an extra flavour to all what was going on. Impressed and even better I could eat in my own room in peace and comfort. I would have liked the dishes to have lids over them, but not a huge deal. Highly recommend this restaurant if you like fish for sure.
