A fantastic cafe with the nicest people! Lee & Marcus from the boys cafe are such a delight to be around. My boyfriend and I eat in their cafe on a regular basis and absolutely love it. Their food is soooo delicious. Whether you want pancakes, a full English, a curry or a pie they have it all and are always so accommodating to any adjustments you ask for. Their little Dog Duchess is always around too and she is an absolute beaut. One of the friendliest doggies I’ve ever met. You’d be seriously hard up to find such a wide range of yummy food and drinks anywhere else in the area. Not to mention the fact that Lee & Marcus are so genuinely warm & kind that by the time you leave the cafe, you’ll feel like you’ve made two lovely new friends. Needless to say I highly recommend a visit to the boys cafe x

I always go to a venue a few of times before I pass any judgement because I've worked in this industry since I was 14 ( 54 now ) and everyone has a bad day. The chaps here have totally nailed it. The food is perfect, I judge a breakfast by the egg and every time I have been there the eggs have been spot on ( actually the bacon and sausages were quite nice too) Clean, good value, friendly I can't find fault

Found this delightful cafe on Trip Advisor, so was expecting it to be good and it didn't disappoint. The main positive aspects that I came away with were that the service was extremely friendly, the prices were very reasonable, and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations based especially on the price, in fact I would normally expect to pay double for such quality at least. Three of us visited and we had one cottage pie, which was a special that day, a sausage sandwich and Welsh Rarebit. All of these were between £3.50 to £4.50 each, followed by some warmed up brownies. All were tasty and generously portioned. I had been tempted by the English Breakfast but that was close to £7 without a drink, I was kind of interested to know why that was more pricey than the other items, but that's not a criticism, more just a curiosity on my behalf. Answers on a postcard please. Anyway if you're in the area and fancy a very reasonably priced meal and lovely service then please give this cafe a try. One of my friends who is a local said they'd be making it a regular haunt, and if you do try it, I'd reckon you may well do too.

I love this place! The food is so good, and it's such a friendly place. I specially like the breakfasts, but they do the most delicious Roast Dinner Sandwich which is served warm. it was literally the best sandwich I've ever eaten! Thanks Boys (and Duchess) and I'm really looking forward to The Garden opening soon.

We have just spent 4 nights in Brighton & Hove and discovered The Boys on our first morning. We had breakfast there three out of the four mornings we were in the area and loved it. The only reason we didn't make it on all four mornings was because we overslept and didn't have time! The owners are very friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts were delicious. We will definitely go again next time we're staying in the area. Oh, and Duchess is lovely too....woof, woof! :)

Perfect neighborhood cafe, with a warm, inviting vibe, great food and coffee, and friendly, wonderful hosts. Oh, and the irrepressible Duchess, the true boss of The Boys, who will bark her greeting and then settle and leave you to enjoy. We've only been in the area for awhile but are already regulars. Well done, Lee and Marcus...you've created a great little business with the perfect mix.

We found the boys on google and decided to give it a go, we weren’t disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by two very friendly gentlemen who were extremely attentive throughout our time at the boys. The cafe itself was very clean, light and had lots of food to choose from. Once ordered we were given the choice of how our eggs were cooked, both scrambled and poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The food came out quickly and I must say was very tasty. All round we delighted with the experience and would definitely come back.

Popped in here for lunch and what a marvelous find. Great friendly welcome. Asked what we would like to drink, to early for wine so tea it was. Great choice of food and all freshly made. Excellent quality bread for my BLT. That's what makes a great sandwich. Great staff checked to make sure everything was ok, which it was without a doubt. Refilled our teapot so managed more tea, fresh water in glass bottles if you needed. All round excellent service and great quality lunch. We will definitely be back. A great find.

We love this cafe! Every time we've been the food has been delicious, and the welcome & service is always fantastic however busy the boys are - which they usually are as it's very popular! Duchess 🐶 is adorable, it's a great place for children and the sunny garden has lovely climbing plants - handy for own garden ideas thank you!

Found this place a few weeks ago. Lovely little cafe, very dog friendly with a resident pet dog who is very cute, although a bit wary of our labrador bless her. The service and food were top notch, the best quality sausages unlike some places. My partner and I will be back soon!

I had my birthday brunch there in May and The Boys made it perfect. Food, atmosphere, service and attentiveness made it second to none. I also don't know what my boyfriend would do without his tasty rotisserie chicken every Sunday 👍. Very highly recommended.

Delightful cafe on Portland Road. I still haven't eaten here although the food does look delicious. The coffee is excellent and the guys are friendly and good to chat to. I love how regulars come in with their dogs - just how a local cafe should be. A real asset to the area.

Loved, loved, loved it here, came with my son for a late breakfast on Sunday. 'The Boys' breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked to order, tasty, fresh, amazing flavour, served quickly with friendly chat. Atmosphere and decor fresh and modern, with a classy vintage vibe. Thanks for making us feel so at home.

I went to The Boys Cafe for the first time today and will definitely visit again. My decaff mocha was perfect and the slice of homemade rocky road was delicious. The Boys who own the cafe are very friendly and welcoming as is their beautiful cockerpoo Duchess. Yes, the cafe is dog friendly and my dog enjoyed the visit as much as I did (including the free dog biscuit or two).

I love the boys cafe. Warm, welcoming and great food. They do a great range of breakfast items as well as other cafe delights like cakes. They have even started preparing rotisserie chickens which you can pre-order and take home with you. This is definitely my number one place to come to for a fry-up now.
