The staff is amazing, funny and helpful with directions. The drinks are real good and the food was soooo good, good prices. I really recommend this place
We had a lovely brunch there on Sunday. Staff very helpful, friendly and accommodating - it was originally just my girfruend and I, then some friends text to say they were joining and the staff moved us to a bigger table and stalled our food order so we could all eat together. Food was delicious and the bacon vodka Bloody Mary was insanely good!!
I am lucky enough to live beside this gem of a place. Food amazing and drinks just as good. Staff and service flawless, special thanks to Lucas, always so welcoming. Il be back again and again
Thank you so much! We had the private room downstairs and it was perfect for our needs. Thank you to Lucas/Lukas for being our man for the night. I'd only ever had brunch with you, but dinner! Cauliflower tempura? Soft shell crab tacos? Espresso martinis? Just fsbulous xx
One of the best roasts I've ever had. We had the sharing 3 meat roast and WOW. Absolutely incredible.
I also had a bacon bloody Mary, and I'll tell you now they earned that title of best Bloody Mary's in Brighton. Fantastic!!
Such an amazing meal. We shared the deluxe sharer and it was incredible. 3 different types of meat, giant Yorkshire, duck fat potatoes, carrots, everything!!! Plus it has some mini sausage roll things, and a pulled beef mini pie as well, which aren't even mentioned in the description. It was expensive, but there was a hell of a lot (could have easily served 3, or 2 really hungry people) and every piece of food on there was delicious as well. Highly recommend for a nice treat.
Honestly, it was the best roast of my life. If you order the deluxe, you get all the extra little touches, which really made it stand out from all the other roasts offered in Brighton. The extras for my chicken roast were a chicken leg sausage roll, crispy chicken skin, sourdough bread sauce, and a deep fried chicken popsicle wing. All the food was amazing and had great portion sizes. Will definitely be returning.
Sunday roast. Amazing! The beef was divine and the vegetables perfect with fabulous crispy roast potatoes. Heritage carrots were delicious.
The cocktail menu was great and the Brighton gin fizz super sharp and delicious. Definitely going back
Really nice place - pleasantly surprised.
It was rather quiet around 19h30 in the evening because it's vibe is mostly during the day, but it still had very nice music, a great layout and the food options were really good. Kind of what you'd expect from an American themed restaurant - tacos, steak, burgers, chicken wings etc.
Still, their cauliflower popcorn starters were top notch. The chicken wings were juicy and super tasty - very reasonably priced as well.
The pork tacos were a decent portion and really tasty. I had the steak and it was perfectly made - medium rare.
Our waiter, Felix was also extremely friendly, helpful and even went out of his way to give us some pointers for what to see while in Brighton. Should be commended.
Overall, a great place and I'll come again.
Beautiful brunch sat outside on the promenade. Great for people watching.
Food was great, I had the pork and beans. Everything was served quickly, staff were helpful and there were good GF options where needed.
Really lovely coffee too.
The best Sunday Roast I eat. Always perfect way to end our trip to Brighton. Amazing service & the most important dog friendly.
Fancy roasts here, went for the mixed meat to try everything, I'd recommend the chicken as the best, followed by the beef. Portions are good, vibe and service is like that of a burger joint or slightly upmarket student union bar. Staff are very friendly.
Staff were friendly, food was good, sat in the sun outside the front and it was awesome
Listen to me, my dear friends, for I have just indulged in the most delightful Sunday roast at a charming cafe. The pork was cooked to absolute perfection, with a crispy outer layer and tender, juicy meat that simply melted in my mouth. The potatoes were expertly roasted and seasoned, providing a delectable complement to the pork.
Moreover, the cauliflower cheese was an unexpected and delightful surprise that added a unique flavor and texture to the meal. The rich and flavorful gravy united all of the components into a harmonious blend of tastes.
But what truly caught my attention was the generous serving size of the puffed pork crackling, which brought a satisfying crunch to each bite. The portion was grand, nearly the size of a baking sheet, and took the dish to another level entirely.
I wholeheartedly recommend this cafe to anyone who seeks an extraordinary Sunday roast experience. The pork, potatoes, cauliflower cheese, gravy, and puffed pork crackling were all remarkable and left me yearning for more. I shall surely return to this cafe in the future.
Definitely the best Sunday Roast you can find! Worth every penny, from the presentation to the tasty - amazing! We took the sharing platter of all meats and it was a huge portion! I've never seen anything like this :) Awesome! You have to book a table though as they get very very busy and you'd be not guaranteed to get the Sunday Roast if this is what you after. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Wait wasn't too long even though they warned us it might be am hour.
Great options of drinks. Sitting outside and inside and some space in basements.
A very good roast dinner, the staff were also really nice and friendly. I would say this is up there with the top roast dinner in Brighton. The chicken/beef are exceptional. It's also well presented.
My main complaint would be the drinks, too many hipster/alternative beers. My Aperol Spritz was not nice, it was £9.50 and it wasn't even mixed correctly. It was cloudy and sour, Aperol Spritz has 3 ingredients. You can't mess it up in theory, it does not have lemon juice in it! I didn't want to complain as I already knew the drinks were not good there.
Overall, exceptionally good food. Not good for drinks.
This is perhaps the best breakfast brunch I have had in Brighton. I honestly had no expectations walking in here, but the food was really delicious and even looked great. We had the Mexican eggs and the sweetcorn fritters. Both really filling and full of good flavours. I will definitely come back and recommend to friends.
Lovely cafe with a great view of the sea. The coffee is top class and the breakfast options we tried - both vegan and the pancakes were delicious and hearty. The staff is nice and the ambience is nice and old world. Interesting history of the place and some events you see around the decor
Exceptional roast. Great service. Function room is brilliant. 11/10 for roasts, worth the price.
Best pub Sunday roast I've ever had. We had the deluxe three meat roast - all the meats were delicious and came with so many amazing trimmings. The vegetables, potatoes, gravy and Yorkshire puddings were also very good and the service was excellent.
This is hands down the best roast I have had in years! I will 100% be back for this roast. The trimmings were delicious. Gravy was perfect. The service was exceptional. The refresher cocktail was so good
The food is so good we ended up here 2 days in a row!!
First thing: it's a fairly small space so make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
My partner had a full English which he said was one the best he has ever had. I had the Mexican eggs and they were to DIE FOR!! Cooked to perfection, the flavours just everything. We then shared banana hazelnut pancakes which were out of this world and a perfect sweet treat. We had a watermelon and cherry cola cocktail which were also fantastic.
The service was brilliant, quick and efficient and it was just fantastic brunch all round!!
