I came by Côte when I collected my ticket for an event at the Brighton Dome Concert Hall. I wanted an early dinner and as Côte is just over the road, I cancelled the booking I had in another restaurant and booked a slot in Côte for 17:00. I got there a bit early I was warmly greeted by the manager and showed to a lovely window table with a great view of the venue. I ordered the French onion soup and the duck. I wanted the duck without cabbage, so I was offered green beans as an alternative. I ordered some wine by the glass that arrived before the food. The soup was just delightful with two large bread slices covered in cheese. When the duck in orange arrived that was just excellent, so tasty. With the service, value for money and great food, I really could not fault the evening. I was really looked after by both the manager Cassandra and the server Faye, who both provided first class service.

A great evening atmosphere, a mellow and calm lit restaurant giving a nice romantic or sophisticated ambiance. Many will have social events here or a fancy post work evening meal and drinks. We had reserved and were seated promptly at a nice table by the bar. The wait staff were attentive and noticed when we beckoned them. Service was fast, there was no long wait or sense of food taking too long to arrive. Quality: Christmas cocktail noel blanco, coffee liquor and milk it seemed, it was presented very well, but lacked Christmas taste. It was more of a...glass of milk with garnish. Would recommend vanilla droplets, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and sugar mixed into an espresso shot added to it. I did request an espresso as the coffee liquire was very faint for taste. Food: 10 oz ribeye Presented well, was requested medium, slightly more pink more med rare. The steak itself was "cold" despite being recently cooked. It doesn't seem the steaks were left to rest to room temp and were cooked straight out the fridge, giving a colder internal and overall steak. Garlic butter left to melt with the steak tasted great with good marbling , I can't say excellent it's just made 4/5 for the steak as did not feel cooked or prepped to an excellent standard. Fougasse Nice soft bread brilliant to tear and share. Very light brushing of garlic butter on the top, could use more, finished with sea salt flakes. Calamari Delicate and delicious. No stringy bites, all clean. Crab Maison Served on nice sourdough bread, tasted more like tuna with a hint of crab but was still enjoyable. Our bill had two drinks added to it which were requested to be removed, a mix up on the tables which ordered them we were told. Always check your bills as some restaurants do this intentionally. Overall it is a very pleasant dining experience, great food, great atmosphere.

Faultless service, delightful setting but the food, albeit a little different, felt a bit overpriced for the mass produced nature of it. Wines were both excellent and good value, whilst the free tap water was a nice touch.

Such a lovely place to stop by for a quick coffee and hot chocolate. The tantalizing menu of french cuisine was definitely very appetizing, but since we had a long list of destinations to go and places to visit on our first day in Brighton, we couldnt indulge ourselves in an extravagant lunch. But this place will always remain as our go to place in our next visit, for sure!!

Had a really lovely time visiting cote with a couple of friends. I was disappointed with the starter, I chose bread and ham, I would of loved a chutney with it!. The steak was absolutely lovely, but the chips portion was scrimping. The pudding we all had the Crepe & it was beautiful! Really delicious. The service we received from Sam was great! He was kind, patient & funny. He was having a clumsy day & he was genuinely such a warm person to be served by. The other servers also had a smile on their faces & it was just such a nice place to be because of the wonderful workers.. I will be back because of the servers & maybe I might order double chips next time!

Enjoyed this lovely place. Two starters (goat cheese fig + seafood cake alike (not sure the name)) were astonishingly good. For the main, slow stewed beef were too salty. The mussle soup looks very yummy. Warm service, lovely terrace. 23-24£/ppl. Happy with the price/quality ratio

First time visiting here. Firstly this restaurant is right opposite Brighton Dome which we were visiting. This made the restaurant very busy. But we were greeted and seated quickly. The building was very impressive and there was a very good vibe. We were served drinks and our order taken quickly. We had the set menu. Although not vast this represented very good value for money. Really enjoyed the food. We both had the charcuterie board, my wife had chicken and I had steak. All were excellent. The only problem we experienced was that I ordered a side portion of vegetables that didn’t turn up. That aside the service, food and service was excellent and we both had an enjoyable meal.

I've been here twice now and highly recommend it to people. The staff are so polite and will go all out to make the dining experience a great one. The fish pie my wife wanted was unavailable and we had thought of leaving due to not being any other good options for her to eat. However, they adapted a dish she could eat happily. It was also my wife's birthday and they gave her a complimentary drink. The only downside on our last visit was a very big and lively group celebrating a birthday which made it rather hard to hear.

Part of the Cote chain. We have used several of them in London and elsewhere. This was the first visit to the Brighton restaurant and it did not disappoint. Great friendly, attentive and efficient service. Varied menu with well priced food and wine. Highly recommended

One of the best breakfast I've had, the eggs were perfectly cooked, a wonderfully large portion of hollandaise sauce, and wonderful flavour, nice size, well priced, and delicious coffee. Nice decor, and relaxed atmosphere. Not somewhere tp go when your in a rush but nice if you have time to have a lazy breakfast. Definitely recommend.

We’ve visited a number of Côte restaurants in the country and always enjoy the food. Brighton Côte was no exception on Friday night - delicious perfectly proportioned food. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful too. He seemed keen to ensure that everything was right and that we were happy diners. I would give five stars except for two things. Firstly when we arrived we walked past maybe a dozen tables that hadn’t been cleared; several of which were around where we were seated. I assume the staff were stretched and prioritising diners which is reasonable but it made the restaurant feel more dirty than it would have felt. Similarly the upstairs atmosphere is lacking and having walked through the buzzing downstairs it was a disappointment to spend the evening there. Also…the waiter must have skipped the bit with the card machine for tips - we’d have loved to have given him a tip so don’t know why he did this. 4 stars - brilliant food, good service and I bet most of the time the atmosphere is great as well.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant 😍 This restaurant offers a fine dining experience at an amazing price. The decor is beautiful, staff all terrific and food/drink outstanding. My partner and I went for a lovely meal here and it was a very special experience in every way. As we arrived we were quickly greeted by an extremely friendly member of staff and seated right away, shortly after our drink orders were taken and brilliant recommendations were made by the waiting staff. We then had a chance to look through the menu, make our decision and our order was taken, ensuring all allergy procedures were met. Our food arrived shortly after and was absolutely beautiful, all dished exceeded our expectations. We had three courses, cocktails and a bottle of wine with dinner without breaking the bank. I highly recommend eating here no matter what the occasion

I came on my own for a late lunch and all the staff were very attentive and friendly. I hadn’t booked but had the drink offer in my emails so the waitress redeemed it for me and it was absolutely delicious! Probably the best cocktail I’ve ever had! Everything was excellent and it was the relaxing, enjoyable experience I hoped for.

We love a cheeky lunch here , use the PRIX FIXE set menu only £16.95 for 2 courses or £20.95 for 3 courses , sadly you have to ask to see this menu , as not given to you on arrival . Mon - Fri 12 - 7pm , excluding bank holidays . This place is atmospheric and always has a good buzz at lunchtime. Friendly , attentive staff , and good efficient service . We love booking a large lunch or brunch here too and always manage it well . Recommend 🌟👍
