Stumbled upon this place while wandering the street. Such a lucky find! The food was good and the servers were lovely. Plentiful choice of drinks.
The atmosphere was cozy with all kinds of nicnacks on the walls. Packed with people.
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. Highly recommend foe a quick drink and a meal!
Had the West End Mussels Special with fries in a pancetta and cider sauce. Absolutely amazing. This is the place for great food when in Brighton!
Probably the best pub in town!! No tvs just the sound of lively chat! Great beer selection too. Now the food is fabulous! Had cod & chips (home cooked not frozen), monkfish scampi, mussels and the cauli cheese pie & mash oh and some Carlingford oysters!! Absolutely delicious and generous portions too. Look out for the specials board. You won't be disappointed!
Great pub with excellent food and beer. We popped in on a Monday evening and were lucky enough to get a table so we could eat as well. We had the toad in the hole and vegetarian pie and chips and both were fantastic. Beer and Ale also passed the test as there was a good variety. The pub was packed with a great mix of customers and as tourists - it was great to be in a pub not full of tourists! Thoroughly enjoyable experience and will return again the next time we are in Brighton!
We love the vibe, welcoming and calm. Great food served here. We tried 2 starters, both well made š
We'll definitely come back again.
What a delightful, authentic Pub in the heart of Brighton.
Sunday roast was super delicious and worth every penny. š
Very busy, so glad we booked!
Super friendly & efficient staff.
A true Gem!
What a great find, in the back streets of the town, worth finding. Good selection of, well everything, I'm a real ale person, lots to choose from, old style pub, some background music but not loud, lots of chatting people sat at small tables.
Food excellent, recommend the fish n chips, locally caught catch of the day, not frozen, with real chops not frozen.
It was so good after having lunch there we decided after a couple of hours at the sea front to return for an early evening tipple prior to departure.
One of the best pubs Iāve been to. Was the end of our London > Brighton cycle and after a wet finish it was just what we needed. Sad that they didnāt have fish and chips on a Sunday but we had the chef special honey glazed ham roast instead. Which was 10/10 EXCEPT the roast potatoes which as my friend quoted were āthe worst potato of any kind of potato Iāve ever had in my lifeā. Tasted like they were made 3 weeks ago and reheated on the day. However the rest of the dinner made up for it as the veg was great. Had a pastel de nata shot of the day which was fun and great choice of beers, cocktails etc. definitely recommend for a visit in Brighton! And leave a little note in the box on the wall too! Small but lots of tables
Another little cute artsy drinking spot in Brighton full of English beers and beers from around the world. Very quaint and nicely designed, staff so lovely it was a pleasure to sit and chill with you guys on a hot day over a cold beer! Cheers!
Just popped in for one drink. Fantastic bloody Mary it was too. Lovely old pub, great vibe. Will go back.
