To be brutally honest, the sushi is a 4/5. But you can not disregard the whole ethos of this little gem of a sushi shop. They let you decide how much you pay for the sushi burritos with a portion of it going o charity. These are the sort of businesses I admire. Well done! - LL/OC

Gluten free paradise!!! A gluten free heaven, fabulous food with even greater customer service, with endless gluten free, vegan options it was a tough decision to pick a meal. The four salad sushi bowl was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend!!

Really Happy Me/aki. This wholesome place is one of the reason I come back to Brighton every year in May (The Great Escape Festival being the main reason;). Their sushi burritos are delicious (my current fav is the Sweet Chili Chick £7.80). The concept of the restaurant (non-profit) and costs transparency are great too. It probably would be my favourite take-away on earth if they ingredients were local, seasonal and organic products (but I’m well aware that’s currently pretty hard to set up).

Delicious, so many options and the portions were huge. I had a "build your own" bowl and it was really yummy and there was so much I couldn't finish it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of space upstairs to sit and outside benches too. Their ethos is cute as well, lovely ethical choice in the lanes.

The 'fully load' is a must try. Also, the cauliflower fires are so crispy. Highly recommend if you want some healthy and simple food.

Found this gem by complete accident while waiting for our bus. The menu is totally vegan (which I am not) but really delicious. I have never had sushi as a wrap before but I will be going back. The price is also very reasonable for the size of the wrap.

The Happy Maki is my ULTIMATE festival snack, have seen them at loads of evens and I scoffed my weight in their plant-based sushi burritos the summer season just gone. When I realised they'd set up shop in my home town BTN I obv could not resist a visit. Honestly, these guys made it into my death row meal selection and me n my stomach will forever be indebted to u. Pictured: 🍙 HOISIN 'DUCK' Duck yes. Probably the one I've eaten the most because the flavour is just outrageous. The duck style jackfruit is delissshh. 🥦10/10 💸£6.50 🍙 CRISPY COD Probably one of the best versions of tofu fish alternatives EVER. Oh my cod right? With a proper skin, super crispy and flavoursome. The tartare sauce compliments it wonderfully, so creamy and just pukka tbh. 🥦10/10 💸£6.50 Lovely staff - can't recommend enough!

The best sushi I've ever had, we went back the next day to try more flavours. If you're going with a friend I'd recommend sharing two between you so you can try the different options! My favourite is the caulipop 😍

Simply revolutionary! Not from Brighton and Vegan options are everywhere to be seen - very exciting! But Happy Maki is on a different level. Fast service, wrapped Infront of you, mad healthy, awesome options (fully loaded was the fave and the cauliflower Yums!!) Needs to be bigger so more people can eat inside - portion sizes are good. Obviously it's not cheap but it's worth every single penny. Thank you. Can you franchise out to Midlands please?? We need some Happy Maki up here!!

Friendly staff. Delicious vegan wraps (and pretty good for gluten free as well). The mock meat is really excellent. Makes you wonder why all sushi doesn't come in burrito form!
