Really nice food! Our favourite was the taco with raw fish.
I am a journalist and recognised as a part of the Local Guides here on Google Reviews. I am very impressed with the customer service and food from this restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner at Tropical Sushi on a weekday, I extremely recommend this place. Lived in Brighton for many years and I believe this should be embraced by all visiting and living here. The food is amazing and every single dish is made with lots of care and tastes delicious! Very filling and healthy plates with a range of dietary requirements.
I advise to look at the menu and book ahead of time, as it is a family business and everything is prepared fresh! I loved that they have an open kitchen, very honest and you can see exactly what is happening behind the dishes.
The atmosphere is very lovely and cosy. We mentioned Brazilian background and heard Brazilian music on the playlist shortly after. Very attentive to their customers. A humble local family business worth investing into.

Let me start by saying I appreciate that they let you customize your own bowl. Having choices is always a win in my book. The ingredients were super fresh, and let me tell you, that sesame sauce was out of this world. And the sweet potato fries and brown rice combo was pure perfection.
On top of that you have to appreciate the price. I only paid around 12£ for a bowl and the portion size was quite generous! Personally I think that's a steal, especially in a place like Brighton where prices can be crazy!
I can't forget to give a huge shoutout to Orlando. This guy knows how to make you feel right at home. He was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
I'm already planning my next visit to try out their other tempting options. I've got my eye on the sushi next time because it looked seriously good. Can't wait to be back!

Food was really good. Good taste and good quality. Really liked their poke bowl and the sushi. Sushi taco is a hype in the restaurant, which is good to taste once. But I liked their sushi rolls more than the taco.
Things they can improve is the service and the cost. Service was slow.. also, I felt their hospitality was average.. they can improve in that sense. Plus food costed above average..
Gotta love when you discover a cozy place where the people is not only extremely friendly and welcoming but also the food is amazing! The combination of flavours and textures are incredible. Vegetarian options are available too and not shy away in flavour either!
100% coming back! 100% recommended!

I don’t usually write reviews, but in this case, I feel like I needed to share this gem of a place with the online community.
First of all, hands down the best vegan sushi I’ve had in the UK, and as someone who loves Japanese food, that’s a big statement to make.
The ingredients are extremely high quality, everything is beautifully presented and the latin influence elevates each dish giving it a delicious freshness. The magic touch I didn’t know it needed. You know how some food just makes you happy and you want to do a little dance every time you take a bite? Well, that is the case when I have Tropical Sushi.
Now, let’s talk about the customer service. It was my second time going there for takeout, and not only did they recognise and greet me with such a warm welcome, but they even offered me a complimentary drink, saying I had to try it if i liked ginger (which I certainly do!). There was no need for them to offer me that, but extremely sweet they did.
Finally, I’d like to mention their very quick service and incredible attention to detail.
If you are looking for delicious Japanese food with a twist (whether you are vegan or not), this place is a must try.

I saw this place had 5 star reviews and I was skeptical... But I was wrong. Food and service was impeccable!!! Isnt a huge restaurant so there isn't much ambiance but so worth it for the food. Looking forward to returning.
Absolutely amazing! One of my reasons to go to Brighton this weekend was to visit them and they did not disappoint. Service was lovely and food was delicious. Loads of options even for people who aren’t really into sushi. The Andrea and Tiger roll are unreal. Quick service as well, didn’t have to wait long for the food. 10/10
Amazing food! The sushi tacos were awesome! It was literally a flavour explosion. The fusion of latin and Asian food was sublime. Highly recommend. I am visiting this restaurant every time I'm back in Brighton.

So yummy, the sushi is really well done! I have been away from Brighton and visiting tropical sushi is a must, they also do Tequeños which is a Venezuelan snack. I just love it so much, can’t wait to go back

It’s all very fresh and tasty! I’ve been looking for a good sushi for so long! I’m so glad to have found this place! It’s, without a doubt, the perfect fusion of Latin-Japanese cuisine.
We have been there 3 times and it’s always a memorable gastronomic experience.
We had the Amazonas Platter, extra Orlando rolls (a must have) and tried for the first time the taco crudo! Such an amazing surprise! An explosion of flavours! It’s creamy, crunchy and spicy.
We will definitely have it again!
Please, don’t leave before you have a shot of their “Cinderela” honey liqueur with tequila !

Such an amazing restaurant, it’s a great mix of Latin food and sushi! I loved the ceviche starter and there are loads of options for their poke bowls. The service is so good, very homely and fun atmosphere.
If you are a fan of sushi, this is a must try place in Brighton and Hove! Tropical Sushi will surprise you with their flavours and combinations of ingredients to create a truly memorable and unique experience for your palate.
The service is outstanding and the food is querky and delicious, and the prices are reasonable.

Really amazing place, great sushi, AMAZING nori seaweed tacos. The taco shells are actually all seaweed and they hold together really well. The staff were incredible and they did a wonderful mochi desert for us, paired with honey tequila, because it was our anniversary! Cannot recommend this place enough. Worth every single penny... that my boyfriend paid 😂
Tried out the sushi taco and it was amazing! My friend got a poke bowl and the staff was so nice with helping her find gluten-free options. Overall, the food and service was superb!!
