Semolina has a brilliant menu that is very reasonably priced for the food they produce. Nice selection of local beer and coffee. Very friendly staff - a small and family style business making amazing high end food. The thing that amazed me most was their roast. It was the best roast I've had in Brighton, and great to get such a quality roast in a nice environment, makes a great change from being stuck in a pub. Their deserts have to be tried (the chocolate fondant was awesome) and the ice cream flavours are constantly changing.

Every time I have been fortunate to have a meal at Semolina, it has always been special. A cosy, intimate and friendly dining experience, the staff are welcoming, attentive and took orders with a smile and quickly brought the food to the table. Everything is made fresh from the cocktails to desserts, and it was all delightful. I would highly recommend coming here for a wonderful meal for any occasion, be it an intimate meal with a partner, or a dinner out with friends and family. It’s well worth booking in advance of for a delightful meal. They change the menu every month so there’s always something new and exciting to experience!

Lovely tasty food, great wine selection, and nice staff. The restaurant is tiny and cosy, perfect for an intimate meal. Oh, and the price is amazing for the style of food you get! Absolute quality stuff for an affordable meal.

Went to Semolina last night with 2 friends and had a properly wonderful meal. All 3 of us loved everything we had. It’s not cheap but it certainly is worth every penny. Great flavour combinations and superb presentation. Attentive waitress and amazing Brighton gin and tonic. Will absolutely return!

Went to Semolina for their October Best menu which was Seabasss or Duck plus winr for £20. We tried both and they were delicious. The dessert we had was walnut tart. The service was great too but the lady serving us was quite pushy with us ordering more wine which was rather frustrating. Everything else was spot on!

Absolutely wonderful place with great service. Definitely try the monkfish and £1 cocktail of the month with proceeds going to a charity. Win win! Although menu changes weekly so you may not get the same meal you had previously. Either way, highly recommended!

We had “excellence” for starter “Perfection” as a main, and to complete “Magnificence” for dessert. Truly a superb dining experience, highly recommended.

I don’t normally go to bed with this buzzing feeling of happiness therefore I need to share how wonderful was my all embracing experience at this place. I had dinner at this place for my first time on Friday 8th. November 2018 reservation for 2 at 8:15pm. Off to London road in a nice and quiet road called Baker Street, here you can find this little diamond. We get seated swiftly and we ordered from what it seemed a refined menu yet non conventional and easy to understand. The wine was delicious and married quite well with the fish dish I ordered. Perhaps I would have preferred more the a couple of choices of red or white sold by glass. The waitress was the most exquisite person in the restaurant. I went totally with her suggestion and “bang” the food was something out of this world. I had plaice on a bed of green and hazelnut. The commixture of flavours literally exceeded my expectations. Because I don’t want brag too much about it I can only say that it cost me £14 and I would have been happy to pay £35 for something so tasty, unique, alternative and well presented. Dessert was equal standard, serving chestnut parfait with flawless buckwheat tuiles and plums I choose this dessert as it reminded me of Chef Henri Brosi at the Dorchester Hotel in London, he used to do a similar dessert with chestnuts. I believe that chestnut is a very difficult ingredient to make it likeable and the chef at Semolina totally nailed it. Overall this is one of the restaurant going into my top 10 favourite in Brighton. Thanks beyond word for a looking after my table and turning a Friday evening into an excellent one.

We have saved up to visit Semolina for some time and could not have been happier with our experience. Every dish was beautiful, carefully balanced and moreish; the setting and service warm and welcoming. A little hidden gem of a restaurant, I can't wait for our next visit.
