Best pancakes I've had so far x definitely made our day! friendly staff and very chill vibe x perfect for brunch x I would love to come back here again, I'm already craving for the pancakes and want to try the milkshakes next time
This little hidden gem is the best, the environment is amazing and Alex and Joe are even better. We felt right at home instantly and they made us feel like family. If you don't stop in here you're fuckin up!
Compass point and it's owners were the best gem we found in Brighton! As soon as we walked in we felt like we were being greeted by family. This place is full of warmth and love and I will return as many times as possible! Don't miss out!
I fell in love with this place from the minute I went on to their website which completely transported me to the 1940's instantly. There was a similar vibe when I visited the cafe, from the 1940's music to the decor. The food and drinks are good here, don't get me wrong and there's plenty of choice whether you are here for breakfast or lunch...but the service is exceptional! They have every little detail covered and I felt extremely welcomed. I ordered a breakfast burrito which on the menu listed it with chorizo. They happily made a vegetarian version for me at my request. In fact they should probably have a couple more vegetarian options on the menu for it to be completely all rounded actually. I also ordered a Morning Refresher juice which was carrot, apple and ginger. The waitress asked how spicy I wanted it, which I've never been asked before even though I am always having fresh juices at various different places. When I said really spicy, throw in whatever you can she returned with the drink mentioning that if it wasn't to my liking to let her know and she'll take it back so that they can add some more ginger in! WOW, just wow. The chef/owner(?) walked by to go outside to do something and as he walked past my table he said hi enjoy your lunch. There's such a good, friendly vibe here. Its just the little things for me...great service. I really can't wait to go back!
This place was an absolute gem.
First time taking my wife to Brighton we decided to book this place because it had great reviews.
We were not let down, the staff were absolutely amazing. Very polite, kind and entertaining.
We arrived at 1.00pm and although the breakfast menu had ended, my wife was still able to get her pancakes, which she loved.
As for my burger, see for yourself. It was a beast but it was not able to best me.
I would highly recommend this place as it had such a warm and inviting feeling.
Place is cosy and well decorated.
Some of the staff were really accommodating and nice.
The food presentation is not bad but I know they can do better, especially with the egg. Taste good tho.
The milkshake took so long to make, hope you improve on this.
Staff should be familiar with how everything in the menu looks, She gave me a diff meal name then came back saying its the one I ordered but I wouldn’t know.
The toilet is alright just a bit dark there.
Not such a bad place, there Dog friendly so thats a plus!
Cool decor, amazing service, delicious food... not much more you can ask for! We will definitely be back next time we are in Brighton.
Plus Oscar is such a cute and well behaved boy!
My favourite cafe/resturant so far. It ran by two american guys and they are absolutely lovely. The atmosphere was cozy, welcoming and just what you need on a chilled day. The food, was amazing. I went for breakfast and I got some pancakes which were one of the best I've had. They also serve good milkshakes
Absolutely love this place. The service is great and staff are amazing. The sweet potato flo is really delicious in the style of croquettes. My partner really enjoyed the fluffy american pancakes with crispy bacon and the thick milkshake he had.
We visited Compass Point Eatery for Brunch late Saturday morning. Friends of ours had been recommending this place for a while but we'd never managed to visit until now.
If you are a fan of light fluffy American Pancakes served with strips of crispy bacon and/or fresh fruit (and maple syrup of course) then you are in for a treat. Not to mention a great selection of hand made malted shakes, made with ice cream, which are big enough to be a meal in themselves.
We'll be back to try the rest of the menu!
Great pancakes and very cosy atmosphere! Last but not least, staff was very helpful!
Totally worth a visit
Staffs are very friendly , we got a very pleasant service here. BTW, milkshake is really good highly recommend.
Amazing pancakes in a lovely setting, 30/40s decor and music. I would definitely recommend visiting here if you want an American style breakfast and friendly staff!
Great place for breakfast or lunch. The staff were so nice and friendly. Food was great too. Especially the awesome coffee.
