I was immediately greeted and invited in to the unique cafe, with a lovely spot right across from the sea. I had a lovely latte but the tables around me loved the food they had for lunch. A great spot!!

The owners of this bar are not only dog-friendly, but they are extremely people-friendly too. Having just returned from a 4-month stint in Poland I decided to avoid any of the Polish offerings and I intended to have a rib-eye steak (as my favourite restaurant, The Terraces was now closed and no longer serving my beloved rib-eyes). I was steered in the direction of the lamb steak with chips. It was lovely, not too much garlic and cooked to perfection. It was served on a wooden board and was certainly filling (I almost managed to clear the plate). The walls of the interior are adorned with various photos (and even covering the ceiling at one point). Despite that the place doesn't look cluttered and feels rather welcoming (even though there is a witch standing near the door). I'll certainly be coming back here to try some of their other offerings.

This is my new favourite place to eat in Brighton! Not only was the food amazing but the staff were beyond friendly, and most importantly the place was totally unique. the menu had a strange combination of polish dishes like "little hooves" (like dumplings) or polish sausage, but also French dishes like pissaladière, and also schnitzel. the decor is full of witch imagery but also lots of their graphic design products like mugs with wedding photos on and retouched old photos. it truly is unlike anywhere I've eaten, in a fantastic way. the ladies who run the place had all the time in the world to chat an even explain why their lamb dish (the tastiest lamb I have ever experienced) is so good. turns out they are very careful about suppliers and only have cuts from a master butcher. If you like an interesting and tasty place to eat and a great experience you will not be disappointed. if you want something standard and served really fast then don't bother it's not for you.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant!! We 1st discovered ThewitchEZ about 2 years ago when they were by the seafront, and we had the most amazing time then!! Now, they have moved to their new location in the lanes. I'm so glad that nothing has changed! Well,... apart from getting better, that is!! Everything we love about the old place is still there, along with loads of new things to discover. And the food is out of this world!! Along with the drinks!...I'm sure my girl would recommend the espresso martini with hazelnut vodka!!! 💜😘💚 All in all, we would highly recommend ThewitchEZ to everyone whoever visits or lives in Brighton!! We love this place and call it "our restaurant" can't wait to return later in the year!! 💚💜

Everything about this stunning restaurant is intriguing. From the outside it’s not entirely sure what you’ll be walking into! The buzzer at the door, the witchez greeting you, decor, service, food all impeccable. Cannot wait to return! Be warned…large portions and potions await so don’t over order!

A wonderful evening spent in very cosy, unique surroundings with plenty of spooky pictures and ornaments to give a real genuine theme to the place. The staff were excellent and looked after us well, including our dog, making intelligent adjustments to make sure he was also considered. The food was excellent and we all had plenty of food without adding extra sides or even having starters. The food was hot but not spicy and well presented. A wonderful evening out and very reasonably priced considering how well we were looked after.

Well worth a visit, if you’re looking for somewhere different to eat. What a good find, tucked away in The Lanes. The staff are very helpful & friendly & the food superb. You get plenty on your plate. The decor is spooky & quirky at the same time, absolutely loved our evening there, an absolutely must.

Celebrated a friend's 30th birthday on 31/10/2023. Gorgeous restaurant and venue with friendly staff, delicious drinks, and atmosphere. Great selection of European food, drinks list, and knowledgeable staff. I would happily return again.

First time visit and hugely impressed. It’s recently reopened having moved from the seafront to the Lanes (next to Bath Arms). Quirky deco and dim (but not too dim) lighting gave a great atmosphere. Very friendly staff and delicious, somewhat unusual food. My starter, a fried cheese affair, was probably the best starter I’ve ever tasted, so many different flavours and textures, very skilfully designed. Will definitely return.

10/10, 100/100! Absolutely amazing experience, the food is beautiful, delicious and stunningly plated. Every single staff member is fully informed on the menu and so lovely. I will be bringing anyone and everyone I can here in the future. New favourite found. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Loved dining at the Thewitchez. We wanted to end our holiday with a great meal and after finding the restaurant while searching on line, decided to book. We were not disappointed! The food, the atmosphere, and the staff were fantastic. The Rosti and the lecso were excellent mains, as was the Roma starter and the amazing fruit vodkas as our dessert. My husband - who is Hungarian - found the Polish version of lesco really quite tasty!

The Witchez have recently moved Into their new location hidden in the lanes. This time the decor and ambience is even more magical 🧙‍♀️. You have to ring the door bell and shortly after you are greeted and guided to your table. The service personal is friendly and explains well the menu. It’s a nice touch that the menu tells you from which country the dish is from. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great with old black and white movies 🎥 been projected on the wall, and lots of pictures and quirky deco which fits perfectly with the witch theme. The food was good overall and portions are generous. If you like east european and east European foodie a quirky location than this is the place to go.

I had my 50th birthday meal at the Witchez, so glad we chose this restaurant. We were greeted at the door by friendly, chilled staff who attended to us all evening. Food was amazing, great cocktails too, and the atmosphere created with their unique decor and table spacing made for a wonderfully intimate experience. Highly recommend !!

Amazing wellcoming, friendly and fluent service, smooth and intimite athmosphere and the best, food - so good;)! We had meritenian starter and summer breeze and mains; dumblings with two different fillings and chocolate-chili perugian stew. It was sooooo good (but the dish was so big I didn't manage to eat it all).

I love this place! Great atmosphere, perfectly pitched to be interesting without getting boring. Lots of nooks and crannies that are well dressed to fit the theme. Very friendly service, and food is excellent. No children are allowed as it's an adult only venue. Now moved to the Laines so more central and bigger. Keep it up!

I dont want you to come here, but thats me being selfish because I want the place all to myself. Don't be the idiot that skips over this restaurant because you are phased that it is called the witchez and is also a photo design place. Some of the best food in brighton, and the Irish lady who is often the waitress there is very kind and makes us feel at home. It's the kind of place that I trust whatever is on the menu because they make consistently great food. I recommend the little hooves, quarantuna, and the Swiss mountain cheese. Just go try anything, it's delicious.
