Popped in for some lunch and a couple of pints one Friday on the eve of the 1940's weekend and the FA Cup final. First time since the revamp and it's an impressive place. Was quiet when I first arrived, but started to get busy after lunch. Good menu and I like how they bundle up their meal deals in a similar way to a nearby competing pub. Good range of ales and food. Added to this, the gents toilets (always a good measure of how a pub is managed for me), are top notch and spotless!
Had a chicken wrap which was very tasty. Out of curiosity - also went in the following day during the footy and the place was rammed. Too busy for me though.
Will certainly be back the next time I'm out on the lash in Brighouse.
It’s pretty easy place to access or find it’s on the main road into brighouse with plenty of parking spaces on offer I would say with the make over it’s had was needed it’s added some freshness to the place . I have eaten at this venue on many occasions but this time I like to settle for the mixed grill with like fried or waffled looking chips which were very tasty in fact all the meat s were nicely cooked the meal waiting time was not long the place was full of adults & kids so a mixture of customers plus the service was very good no hassle so I would recommend if passing do drop in.
Dropped my son off for a cricket.match in Mirfield and popped into Brighouse for some shopping and lunch. What an amazing pub this is. Service was impeccable, food came out promptly. And it was delicious washed down with a guiness. Will definitely return.
Went here on an early Saturday evening for some food. Had the hot, spicy chicken burger. Wow was it hot. Super tasty. Atmosphere in the pub was really good and we ended up staying late into the evening where it turned into part central. Beer was good value and service was superb.
We were here from Canada last June-2022. My cousin lives in Brighouse and we were on a crawl. Last place we ended up and really had the most awesome time. Hoping to see you in 2024❤️

This place is lovely. Food was great and the drinks were good. The price for food was amazing and as you can see you get lots of it. The calder was clean and busy. The app was brilliant to order from. Quick service. Disappointed that one of our party for ID'd even though she looks older and drove there. Will visit again.
Lovely ladies here, they were short staffed but still served us with a smile. Breakfast 2 days on the trot for us, great price for a really decent breakfast, definitely recommend x
Regular here, food is nice and the staff polite and friendly. Toilets clean, nice inside.
Great for sport and groups. Really tasty, well cooked pub food.
Burgers were great. Service was good and the Beer was very reasonably priced.
Nice and roomy its clean tables not left ages to be cleared of leftovers and empty glasses prompt service at the bar and if you order a drink with your food you get a discount also great for watching sport sky TV all round the venue.
I really recommend the colder to be a fine place to relax and eat with 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ polite staff and fine food and drink survive and great menu to your needs you just can not sey know to the calder pub 🍻🍺🍻🍻🍺🌹🍻 keep up the great work guys form DJ doctor mark James from table 4

Just had a wonderful Sunday experience! Jamie was the manager who took my order and was very prompt friendly, Lauren brought out our food quickly and provided great service in getting my fiance additional bbq sauce. I will definitely be visiting again!
Local and convenient, good pub food, good prices. Always enjoy a meal out with friends, even been on my own once.
Get local pub, excellent staff with a special mention to Katie, you’ve got a good one there. Food good and reasonably priced but knocked a point off for the peas, awful - get a new supplier 🤣🤣🤣
Certainly much better for the recent revamp and the new look is superb! Staff are so busy and work so hard too. The choice of beers is much wider than you might think and the bar is brilliant for live football. Some regulars are characters but went in for an England game during the World Cup and had a great time!! Food looks great value too.
Lovely pub. Just been redecorated, very tastefully. Nice food and lovely staff.
