First time eating here and will definitely be back. Food was amazing. Ian who served us was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He was very helpful. The shared starter was lovely and plenty for 2 people. We had the fish grill , cajun chicken burger , smothered chicken and the duo Korean chicken. All were served hot and fresh and delicious. The puddings were amazing too.
I'd highly recommend to anyone thinking of eating here.

Positives
Great location. The building is large and has character.
Calm atmosphere leading to a relaxing, chilled meal.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
Ample parking.
During warmer months, this would be great to sit outside and relax, looking out over the river.
Negatives
I didn't feel that the Sunday roast was anything special. I was warm rather than hot, some of the meat a little fatty, and there could have been more veg.
The price. For what I received (including drinks), I feel this place is a little pricey. I've no issue paying a premium if the food is of an equal standard, which I didn't feel that it was. I wasn't a fan of the frozen peas either! 🙁
Overall, I'd probably rate this as 3.5, as the food is a major reason for attending, so the positives are somewhat offset.
Fab bar nestled away near the river. Beautiful building and grounds. Especially nice around the outdoor riverside beer garden. Will definitely return!
Really nicely situated close to the motorway but in a secluded tree lined area. Ample parking on site and a really nice building with cool interior.
I had the steak and ale pie delicious and good portion too. I'm sure we will be back again soon :)
Absolutely amazing didn't book still found room food was amazing and very quick. We went out last week kids free and it was a shambles so was lovely to be somewhere where I mattered and was looked after will defo be returning all staff and so nice aswell so homely x
I have stopped by this old mill a couple of times and it is a nice place i have to say.
One issue i had was distinguishing between staff and visitors. I would recommend some sort of uniform to separate easier make them spot-able a little bit more.
Food was okay. A little spicy overall.
Didn’t have time to wait very long for service.

Would i go back?
Probably not especially for that particular place, but if i end up being around that corner of Huddersfield some day I wouldn’t mind having tea there again.
We had our family Christmas Eve meal here, on arrival we got a warm welcome from the staff, it has a lovely cosy atmosphere on a stormy day.
The food was excellent and beautifully presented.
Reasonably priced and a great selection of deserts.

Whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door, we tried here for drinks and a meal and we were not disappointed.
The service was warm, friendly and professional. The meal was superb with good portion sizes, even though they were busy we didn’t wait long.
The selection of wine’s beer’s and spirits was very good.
Would happy visit here again, well done to all the staff for a great evening

A great place to eat. Friendly staff, lovely food. We went for the Tappas style meal with a mix of starters in stead of a main meal. It was ample food and very tasty, presented well and filling.
Massive thank you to the awesome little team of 3 who looked after our ladies group today! Even though we know they were absolutely snowed under they were still friendly and attentive and the food was also delicious, the pigs in blankets on the Festive Menu were HUGE!! We will definitely be back :)
I had the no leaf salad and it was beautifully presented and delicious. The food was served within a reasonable amount of time and the staff were polite and friendly. The log burner helped to create a lovely warm and cosy atmosphere.
Popped in for lunch. Hospitality, food, and price were very good. Will definitely pop in again.

I really like the food here, it was very good an the staff were really lovely and very attentive. I went here on my travels in the middle of the day, the service was quick, they wished my girl friend happy birthday, which was nice. Nothing to complain about the venue or service at all.
The only thing I would like to mention and why my experience was ruined (and ultimately the loss of a star) was that my vehicle got broken into. All vans on he plot were targeted, nothing was stolen however. So please. If you visit take all your valuables with you inside and don't ignore all the signs. I went there in the middle of the day in broad daylight. After this happend the staff where very good and checked CCTV right away and gave us a drink. Despite this , having to drive home with a broken window lest a slightly spur taste in my mouth.
I would recommend here, just lock up your valuables tightly
