Had the best ever Chinese experience here last evening with friends. The food was exceptional, every dish was delicious and the staff were so very friendly and helpful. Only a small restaurant but was very busy, even midweek. If you love Chinese food, this is THE place to go!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at China Royal Restaurant with a group of friends, and I must say, it was an absolutely outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for a memorable evening.

Kato's attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and genuine passion for his restaurant were evident throughout the evening. It was clear that he takes great pride in providing exceptional service, and it truly made our dining experience all the more enjoyable.

Excellent meal, good size portions, we ate in the restaurant which clean and spacious was plenty of choice, service was friendly and polite, even the boss spoke to customers. Would recommend and definitely go there again, you got what you paid for quality food and on the fab dining meal out.

I write lots of reviews but I can honestly say I don’t remember eating a Chinese this good ever! Was fresh, great quantity and very large portions, certainly enough to take some home.
Staff were very friendly and very helpful. The venue itself is like stepping back in time…. Very 1980’s however it is full of charm and immaculately clean. A really lovely surprise on our short break away from home. We will return if ever in the area again.
Just love visiting this restaurant. Food excellent. Very quick in serving you and will accommodate any dietary requirements. The halibut is my favourite dish and they will cook it to your own specification. The circular tables are ideal for parties and so much more sociable when going out with work colleagues.

First visit, with friends. Extensive menu, good food all round. Friendly and attentive service. A bit pricey, so for special occasions rather than weekly. I'll be back.
Best meal I have had out for a long time
Very impressed
Never dined in here but the take away is delicious. Only 2 problems really. Firstly, they have missed items or given us the wrong items several times. They will always correct the mistake but it needs another trip out to collect it. Secondly, there is often a big wait time. Tonight we ordered over the phone and were given a 1.5 hour wait time to collect. When I got there at the right time, I still had to wait another 10 mins in the shop. All that said, the food is so good that we keep going back.

It is always a pleasure to experience the flavours and excellent food. Nothing is too much trouble and I always look forward to my next visit.

Absolutely beautiful food. Had the experience of dining in and a takeout and both are fantastic value for money. Food was piping hot and very tasty. Very friendly staff and the young man taking the takeout orders was very polite and friendly. Next time we are in this area won't hesitate to call again
Only had the takeaway on two occasions so cannot rate the atmosphere yet!!! But will be eating in some time soon. Food was fantastic and plentiful highly recommended. See you in the comfortable waiting area soon!!
