Visited this little gem of a place purely by chance when passing through on our bikes - not what I expected at all - on the outside, an old looking pub with a quaint appearance- open the door and you have lively music, open fire burning away, warm and welcoming staff with a menu of home made food, outside you had some construction work going on in the way of a yurt being built - even the yurt builders were friendly and welcoming . Absolutely loved the vibes in this place - happy and fun staff and a ‘must visit again’ note in my diary. Well done to you all - oh, and they are dog friendly too

Stopped for an impromptu meal this evening after finding all other dog friendly pubs/restaurants full. Didn’t know this place was there but it really is a wee hidden gem. Burgers for me and my husband and the kids had a pizza and fish & chips. Brilliant food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended, will be returning!

We popped in earlier today for a drink and an impromptu bite to eat. Between us, we had the Cullen skink and haggis balls which were both epic. Given the fact that I was driving, after a mere half-pint of ale, I switched to that other Scottish reserve of Irn-Bru! Great setting, great staff, lovely food - well recommended.

I stopped in there a while ago for a coffee during a hike. The coffee was excellent and the guy behind the car was so friendly that my wife and I decided to have dinner here. The food was excellent and the staff were incredibly friendly. I will be back and I highly recommend to others.

They served me one of the best steak in my life. Food is amazing. 5* for chief. Mesaage to owners: don't loose him. Atmosphere inside transferred me to Polish mountain cottage houses. This is massive complement. Lot of scottich single malt choices. Disabled people access. Pet friendly. Fantastyczna chata z charakterem polskich gorskich chat serwujacych super jedzenie. Polecamy.

I’ve found the best pub in the world!!! Magical setting! Brilliant, bonkers, generous, wonderful, hosts, (Jason & Sharon)! delicious pizza! cool music! Even tho they’d lost their electricity the day before they went ahead with my birthday party, with candle light, fire pits, glow sticks and smiles, making it the most magical, memorable party I could have wished for. Everyone said it was the best party ever.

Me and my wife stayed in Scotland for 11 days in our camper van we visited this gem of a place to find a couple Jason and Sharon who own this fantastic venue. The food which we ordered was made fresh and piping hot, Sharron used her outside oven to cook a fantastic pizza and mouth watering steak. Jason entertained us with the upmost professionalism that after he allowed us to stay in there car park we decided to stay three nights the place was that unique If your visiting Scotland and want a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere cracking delicious food come here Thank you Jason and Sharon and good luck We will see you in November

Love this little pub, the best pizza I've tasted outside of Italy. Stopped by on a recent walk in the Trossachs and tried the breakfast. Cooked in the pizza oven on a cast iron skillet this breakfast is amazing. Cooked to perfection, it comes with orange juice and unlimited coffee great value for money and it sets you up for a cold wet day walking, fantastic.

Went on a busy night and unfortunately all tables were reserved but Jason was very helpful and booked us in for the following night. I went with my wife and 2 young kids (6 and 3). Pizza was great and Jason helped entertain the kids. Gave them their own table to play on with games, Lego and toys. The kids eat all their pizza (this is rare) and straight back to playing. This allowed me and my wife to chill for a bit without our kids demanding our attention. A relaxed meal that we do not usually get. Jason and S st haron were extremely welcoming and we had some good conversations. When it came time to leave, our kids were upset and wanted to stay. Jason saw that they were upset and gave them a little parting gift which brought smiles back to their faces. Customer service was above and beyond. We will definitely be back! This is a hidden gem and must be tried. I would only recommend that you book a table in advance to save disappointment.

Feels quite magical finding this pub hidden in the woods. Very cosy and welcoming staff, food seemed expensive and very limited drinks selection but a great place.

Great beer, pizza, and fun for the kids on the bus. This was a great treat for us after a day hiking in the Troussacs. Service was top notch, but it's just a husband and wife team running the place, so it's important to book ahead so they can plan accordingly. We'll definitely be back!

This is a brilliant little pub to pop into whenever you have the chance. Its such a nice environment with lovely owners. The food was brilliant, as was the service. The only fault I have, which is no fault of them, is how cold it was that day but I sat next to the fire and enjoyed my home baked pizza. Lovely. Will be going back.

We came across this place whilst camping nearby and spent a great afternoon here. Owner was friendly and generously gave us the means to start a fire back at camp, had great chat and made us feel at home. Sasha the collie had a good time too :D only thing that was missing was a whisky ;) 🤘

Lovely quirky little place, landlord is a goofball, very chatty, I'm not a social person but I felt quite comfortable. Only stayed long enough to eat a couple of pizzas but by the sounds of the stories from a previous visitor there can be lots of fun to be had here.

We were 4 weary hikers, soaked through and wandered into the Byre Inn to get some shelter from the storm outside. Within minutes Jason had pints in our hands and we were safely warming up by the fire. We were shown incredible hospitality and had a brilliant night there, great tunes, great drinks and even a bit of a dance. For anyone interested there is a fantastic selection of percussion instruments :D! We'll definitely come back with some more friends! Thanks guys!

Lovely welcome, nice salad (we were too impatient for the pizza as the oven was still warming), cold drink on a hot day. We will be back.

Fantastic place, we were passing through as we were hiking along Loch Venachar and weary and tired our group of 5 came across this place and despite it being too late to get served any food, ... we were still offered some pizza bread with cheese, and a few snacks along with the drinks we did order! Thanks to this, we had renewed energy and managed to find our way to our campsite for the end of the day! So overall great hospitality, if I ever get the chance to return, I'll gladly do so and let them know ahead of time and finally get to try some of the delicious pizza that was being served to others around us :) Cheers from a current Horsham (..ite?) and continued good luck running your wonderful inn!

We stumbled across this place after trying the amazing goats milk ice cream up the road. Words dont do this unique pub justice. Feel like we were transported to a diff dimension! From the eclectic playlist, live music, awesome friendly staff and quirky surroundings, they gave us one of the weirdest but best nights we have had for a long time. Thanks!!

This is the best pub in Callander. Great spot for campers on three lochs drive to grab a pint and an outstanding pizza. Jason the manager is a great host that welcomes everyone into his establishment. Great beer garden for those sunny days. Do not miss out and give the Byrne in a visit.
