Just back from visiting West Dorset. This is our favourite Bridport pub. Excellent Palmers ales always coming up tip top! And the food is proper home cooked pub grub. You won't leave hungry that's for sure. Highly recommend!
Apologies to the lady behind the bar for our friend who was a little loud saying the food was pricy! (Our friend has no filter and often makes us cringe!) we all ordered burger and chips for lunch. When it arrived there was a lovely fresh,interesting salad, good proper burger, nice roll and plenty of nice, proper chips and it was well worth every penny. The staff were lovely and brought us plenty of sauces, and the food was great. Thank You for your hospitality and the guest ales. A nice stop off on the way to our girls weekend away. Many thanks.
We are visitors from Australia - Perth actually. Went to the Crown after a long day out sightseeing. We placed our order and had our food within 15 minutes. Hot and beautifully cooked and presented. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will recommend this place to anybody who visits Bridport and surrounding areas or passing through. Next time im in the Uk. I will return.
Had a great night on sat night I was looking for a local pub to watch the Chelsea game. Lots of TVs in the pub spoilt for choice , a great pint , staff helpful and free chicken and chips whilst the games on I will be back
We stopped on our way home to Emsworth, lovely friendly staff and very comfortable place to be . My partner had the cottage pie and I had fish in batter. Both were beautifully cooked but we just couldn’t finish it all .
Very reasonable price for what you had . We will definitely go back next time we visit Devon 😃

La carte est sympa avec des produits frais et anglais. Nous avons mangé une excellente "pie" (tourte a la viande).

This evening we stopped here for dinner. We had never been here before so thought we would try something different. I ordered the madras, which could have used a little more flavour, HOWEVER!!!!!!! Everything else was on point, superb food, fantastic beer and great service! Highly recommended.
Crown inn pub is a lovely pub and got great live band playing music on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. They doing lovely home made foods. Simon and Rachael are cool boss there. I love working for them both.. And it is best pub you can find in town...
This has got to be one of the best pubs in Dorset! It has fab hospitality. Great food and some amazing live bands. If you're in the area, pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed.
Always a friendly pub with a good atmosphere . We went to listen to the Sunday afternoon Jamming session and meet up with friends. Never disappointed, always very entertaining. We could have eaten but on this occasion, didn't. Reasonably priced food and drink and always excellent service 👌.
Wow... this is an amazing pub and a real find.
We had dinner here and was blown away by the quality of the homecooked food (the pies were amazing). Sarah was fab at meeting my daughters sensory needs around food and nothing was too much trouble.
The service was impeccable and the ladies toilets spotlessly clean.
This pub is a must for anyone looking for quality food, great service and friendly atmosphere.

This is a true locals pub but the food was scrumptious and the service by the barmen and chef was fantastic!
I had the Ham egg and chips.. it was a large portion and very yummy!
My husband had the sausages, mash and peas which he said was very good!
My daughter had the spaghetti bol which she wasn't keen on but she also had the garlic baguette with cheese which we all had to admit was by far the best garlic bread we have ever had!!
For pudding I had a banoffee style pudding which the chef had made up that day and explained to me and I had to try it and it was absolutely delicious!
My husband had the rhubarb pie and custard which again he absolutely loved.
The little lady had the syrup sponge and ice cream which the chef drizzled extra syrup on as she mentioned how much she loved syrup.
It's so nice to meet such lovely people running a local pub. You could tell by some of the patrons and the way they are looked after that they truly look after all their customers!

The food was faultless and full of flavour. Great portions!
We chose to have the prawn cocktail starter instead of a main as we liked the look of the syrup sponge and we were quite surprised when it came and it was the size of a main anyway.
The pie was humongous and came with carrots, peas, green beans, cabbage and broccoli!!!
The staff were also very polite and attentive. Great pub, highly recommended. Oh and also real onion rings, mmmmmm
This pub has an atmosphere all its own. The service was great, the welcome was friendly, and the food came in good time. It was good and hot. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
Good portions, friendly staff. Stopped in on a whim, and glad we did. Tasty and traditional pub food.

Quick service and friendly staff. The vegetarian falafel burger was delicious, full of textures and flavours. Came with a beautifully dressed side salad and curly fries.
We were staying in the area for the weekend and found this pub for a Sunday dinner. Old traditional pub, nice warm welcome. We ordered a roast chicken and a roast pork dinner, both were really nice, tasted fresh and a good size.

Stopped off on way to Cornwall. Lovely welcoming and friendly pub. Freshly cooked tastey food, good portions! Clean modern toilets with baby change.
Warm & friendly. Good music over weekends. Jamming Sunday is very special to try out ones singing credentials.
