Met an old friend for lunch. They had a sandwich, I had the salmon poke bowl, and it was flipping delicious. Also a much larger portion than I expected. Staff were lovely, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend .

Me and and partner visited on 22/09/21 I don't often feel compelled to write reviews but everything about our visit was absolutely phenomenal. We was greeted by a lovely friendly Waitress who seated us promptly in the perfect spot. Moving on to the food, it was absolutely fantastic I ordered the mac and cheese main and my partner the rump steak. These meals arrived quickly and was presented beautifully. Upon tasting it just got better and better. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth and the mac and cheese was the best I have ever had, it also came with home made garlic ciabatta which topped it off nicely. We ordered strawberry pavlova for dessert and might I add we was way to full for pudding but was so impressed we couldn't resist sampling dessert which again, DID NOT DISAPPOINT. honestly this is the best meal out we have had in a long time so much so that we will be visiting again before we travel home from our holiday. As someone that spent many years in hospitality from bar, Waitress and chef I am so thoroughly impressed with the absolutely smashing service from our server to the food and even our drinks. Thank you so very much for a memorable meal. And if you are reading this wondering whether this is the place you want to eat? Well the answer is an absolute yes.

4 adults and a beagle went for Sunday roast. Service was brilliant. The restaurant was spotless. Food was very hot with excellent portions. You couldn't have asked for better service and meals.

Just had a fantastic meal and a great pint. Had steak and ale pie and my wife had lasagne. All four of us had a fantastic meal and coffee to finish. Staff were exceptionally friendly and will definitely be visiting again.

My smoked brisket burger was brilliant. Some of my companions meals could have been warmer. Great atmosphere and service very enthusiastic and friendly. Nice coffee. A very good lunch experience. If the meals had been served hotter it would have been at least 5 stars

We were lucky they had a table available for us when we arrived. The service overall was good, the servers were nice and helpful, however, we were forgotten twice. Food was tasty, but nothing extraordinary.

Very nice staff and good food so I can recommend this place. Me and my wife had a burger, my son the half chicken and all was good. The draft beer was very good.

Contemporary town centre pub with many different areas, making a large pub feel intimate. Classic home-cooked pub menu with Fish and Grill specials. All Day Carvery on Sundays. 5 Real Ales and a large wine, spirit & soft drink collection. South facing non-smoking front terrace with open patio doors and a secluded & botanical pretty sunny rear courtyard.

Had an amazing smoked hake burger - the tempura samphire is an inspired addition! Great service and fab location with a sunny courtyard as well. Teen son enjoyed the chicken burger. Recommend.

Popped in for a spot of lunch, good menu to choose from at sensible prices. Two hours later we left, having sampled various drinks including the extensive gin menu. Perfect spot on the high table in the window which was wide open. Very European. Bridport at its best.

Vibe: really friendly staff, lovely interior, seats out the front and a nice patio back garden and dog friendly Cleanliness: great inside and out. Drinks: gin and tonic from a list of 60 gins was £6.50, pretty sure it was a double so very happy with that. There is plenty of choice of other drinks too. Food: we just had bar snacks- chicken wings, prawns and calamari. The chicken wings were nice, cooked perfectly though a little bland and the citrus sour cream was ok; the calamari was fantastic, genuinely the best calamari I have had out of Greece, and the ginger dipping sauce was lovely, would definitely recommend; the prawns were a little disappointing as the lettuce did not look fresh and about 6 of the prawns were full of eggs in the legs, which lead me to believe they hadn't been thoroughly cleaned... as they were shell on this did not worry me too much so just discarded them but would like them served without the prawn eggs next time. They were perfectly cooked and the bloody mary mayonnaise sauce was really nice. The food was very reasonably priced and came at a reasonable speed. Would I return: yes, definitely
