I am a keen breakfast eater and on my trip to Bridlington I asked a local where the best local cafe was for a breakfast and the boathouse was recommended. They do not take card payments. Inside is very old fashioned. And you have to wait 5 mins etc because your food is cooked from fresh. Absolutely definitely recommend this place. Lovely lady served me and made the perfect mug of tea. Extremely good price taking into account your tea is included.

Delicious breakfast! We’ve been there for the past two times and always delicious. Food is affordable and well cooked, and the service is spectacular. Tea is made to perfection, and though made to order, cooked with speed!

A nice little gem of a traditional cafe. Retro, padded bench seats set in the traditional style make this a step back in time from when cafés were cafés. The food is cooked fresh and may take a little time to arrive, and NOT left on a hot plate for 4 hours to dry up. The English breakfast is top quality and cooked to perfection. I couldn't fault it at all. A definite revisit is on the cards for me

Not plush seating but the food there is really good, and well cooked. Salads are 2nd to none in Bridlington and their steak pie is to die for

Fantastic quality breakfast. Decor a bit dated but it is what it is. Only one problem. Instant coffee. If you don't care then it's a five star breakfast

What more to say than a quality family ran cafe with a warm atmosphere. I went for a ‘Special Breakfast’ with an extra Hash Browns and it hit the spot, and then some. Not to mention, mega cheap too! £5.20+ 80p for the Hash Browns which includes a tea/ coffee. WOW. Everything is made to order which means yes, there’s a small wait, but it is well worth it. If you’re visiting Bridlington or a resident that has not tried Boathouse, get yourself down. It will not disappoint! An easy clean plate.

Has a unique taste that will never be replicated. This place is a local landmark. The best breakfast in the town by a country mile and it’s probably one of the cheapest (not that I would dare go anywhere else). Could eat one every day if i was still local. Make sure you get some toast on the side, the butter tastes incredible. The eggs have nice firm whites with runny golden yokes. The fat is on the bacon is rendered perfectly but the meat is still nice and moist. The place is spotlessly clean and has bundles of character. The breakfasts are plated up with care and plate size is adjusted accordingly. I could go on but will leave you to make your own mind up.

We want to visit my Mum and Dad who live in the area, they had told us they had found this place and have been many times and took us along. It's a little gem! Good food for a good price! We will be back next time we visit, however I'm sure my mum and dad will be back later in the week!

Firstly this cafe is the only cafe in Bridlington that opens as early at 7am on a Saturday. Secondly the food is delicious and very fairly priced. Lastly the staff are very homely and welcoming. 5 stars all round, I now go here every Saturday morning before work

Always lovely food at a reasonable price. Service with a smile, proper mug of tea and bread & butter to mop up your breakfast. I'd just come back from Norwich where a "Bill's big breakfast" had cost me an eye watering £13.99 and it was half the size of the Boathouse breakfast which was half the price. Love this cafe and have always recommended it to visiting yachtsmen and women who've pulled into Bridlington Harbour.
