We had Christmas day dinner here (2023). And must say first time we have done it as a family of 9, but got to say wasn't disappointed. The greating on arrival was warm and welcoming. The service from start to finish was professional with a bit of humour and friendly. The food was hot and plentiful
This place, from our point of view at least, is truly unique. With echoes of times gone by, the food and staff were meticulous in their attention, the food tasty, wholesome. Certainly not nouvelle cuisine.
It's a bit like being stuck in an 80s time warp complete with prawn cocktails and melon balls, however the food is good quality, well prepared and pleasantly delivered. I would go again but deliberately with our friends who enjoy a traditional experience. The decor is also untouched in a generation

This is a little gem. We arrived as a party of 4 looking for food. We were asked to come back in 30 minutes, which we did. The host was warm and friendly. Very welcoming, as were the other staff. The food arrived piping hit and was lush. Good wine too. Can highly recommend.

First time eating here and was not disappointed. The place had just been refurbished and new menus according to the owner, place looked lovely, and the food was amazing. My family and I will definitely visit again and would highly recommend to anyone.
What a wonderful restaurant - the decor & pretty table settings were a lovely start to our evening. Service was friendly & professional, no waiting despite being busy. Food was excellent, really delicious. Highly recommend a visit if you haven't been before, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely welcome. We were congratulated on our anniversary. Prawn cocktail starter, sea bass for me, sirloin steak for hubby. I had a dessert but was too full to enjoy it properly. We treated ourselves
Took family for Sunday lunch to start son's 40th celebrations. Service fantastic and everyone agreed food was superb. They were especially good with the granddaughters. Thoroughly recommend, would go more often if lived nearer.
