Came for a family carvery and my god wasn’t it amazing! Lee was very attentive showing us to our table, we were served very quickly and efficiently by Orla at the bar, and the carvery station was incredible. Very clean, prompt re-fills of the veg and potato’s, and the quality of the food was insane. Ollie checked on us half way through our meal which is always nice and of course, everything was perfect. The pub looks so new and fresh, all the staff were keeping busy and very attentive to other guests. I would definitely rate his as one of the best carverys in town, and will definitely be returning.
Visited today for the carvery, wow would highly recommend it. The beef was so tender, vegetables cooked perfectly. The mash potato is out of this world, probably the best I’d tasted. Definitely take advantage of the two pigs in blankets and an extra Yorkshire pudding for an extra £1, the pigs in blankets are to die for.
Brilliant that there are three different size plates as my mum, who was with us, is a small eater.
Staff so friendly and cheerful. Place was very clean and comfortable.
Definitely will be coming back.
I took my mum here for a meal a week ago and cant fault anything. The place was spotlessly clean the bar and waiting staff polite and the food was delicious. We had the special 2 meals for 8.99 which is excellent value and a very big serving of food each, I also ordered a flat mushroom with my meal and was served 4, again very good value. The young lad who served us couldn't have been more polite and couldn't have done enough for us he is an asset to your restaurant. We ordered all kinds of drinks from the well stocked bar and on one of my visits I noticed a raffle for hampers and I won and I never win anything... Yay!!..... We both agreed we will definitely be back again and as my mum lives a stones throw away and cant walk very far this is great. Thanks again and we will see you again soon.
We had a very good visit to the newly refurbished Quantock today for my brothers birthday, the staff were excellent and easily accommodated 14 of us - some had carvery and some order from the main menu, all the food was exceptional and the attention of the waitresses/waiters was brilliant - they even kept our cake in the kitchen and brought it out with candles lit exactly when we asked - we will DEFINATELY be back xx

Great time last Saturday. Booked 16 family members in for Festive menu meal. Good food, lovely staff, fun time enjoyed by all. Thanks to Ollie and all the Staff.

Came here for a family meal and a great catch-up. All our starters and mains came out with perfect timing, and everything was warm. Large well laid out outside area perfect for sunny days.Big free car park, but be aware you have to sign in using your registration number. Would definitely recommend and revisit if I was in the area again.

Myself, my partner and friend have gone to this pub occasionally for special occasions and when we have we usually have really good meals and service. Unfortunately when we went a couple of weeks ago, we didn't get either. So we thought that we wouldn't use the Quantock again for this purpose. So I reviewed it as not good.
After hearing about this meal, Nick the owner contacted me and he said to, "just give the pub and service a second chance". He was very concerned that we had a bad experience and wanted to show us what we normally would get with this pub.
So we did give him a second chance. We weren't disappointed, the service we received was exceptional, from the entrance to the end of the meal.
We all had a carvery ( 2 vegetarian ) and one meat (gammon, turkey and beef, were available). The vegetables were cooked to perfection. We all loved the roast potatoes and the roasted parsnips and had loads of gravy. The cauliflower cheese and mash are to be recommended. All of us managed to eat everything on the plates.
We left it a while until we had puddings again which were all presented lovely and with a very friendly and happy staff member who served it to us. They were so tempting I forgot to take pictures, we just tucked in!
My friend and partner had Abbot Ale and said it was a perfect real ale.
We all had a lovely time and will be coming back for definite. The difference from previously was unbelievable and we have changed our minds completely. We are also impressed by the prices and choices of other menu items.
A big thank you to Nick and all his staff who worked hard and made the meal and experience very enjoyable.
Was pleasantly greeted by Nick and Callum when I walked in, offered to find a table and order when ready. Food arrived quickly and very hot indeed. Delicious burger and will be attending again very soon.
The manager was fantastic, and meals came out slightly wrong, and he was super quick to sort it out for us . First class guy
The quantock is always a lovely atmosphere & a really nice building. It has large space but still with the cosy pub feeling. Reasonably priced & all our food was great including one of us being vegetarian. Katsu chips and veggie nachos for starter, all day breakfast and bang bang cauliflower curry. Enjoyed it all and would have all of it again. Staff were all friendly and polite. The lady who served our food was clearly very busy but did not let it affect her manner towards the customers, she was really nice to us and stayed professional under clear pressure, I think her name was Teri (not sure of the spelling) so thank you to her, a great member of the staff there. We will be back for sure.
The new manager and his team are the best that has happened to this place in a long time! The menu is great and finally a good kitchen team to do it justice! Manager and bar staff are helpful and fun. Recently had an 80th birthday party with 17 of us on a busy Friday night but everything was taken care of and all went perfectly. Couldn't thank all enough for all their hard work ... I cant wait to go back for my birthday next month
Great food and excellent service. Very busy but our order was done in a very reasonable time. Loved the atmosphere. Staff friendly and efficient made the whole experience enjoyable.
Have come to quantock gateway for quite some years now. The food is great, their carvery is amazing at a great price, kids menu is perfect and again competitively priced. Miss the old manager but the new one is just as lovely. Terri and Lee have been here for ages and are always lovely and polite. Joshua at the bar was very friendly and welcoming. Thank you to you all for a good evening. Also blue light card holders we get 20% off food 👍
Same brand as Malt Shovel but slightly bigger and more space outdoors with some nice covered areas for rainy days.
Good food and especially recommended the carvery on Saturday and Sunday.
The staff were very attentive and helpful. Although the pub was really busy the staff still made time for us .
The food was hot and well presented.
The only thing to let the pub down is it's very tiered looking in places.
We sat at table 9 the walls were grubby and in need of a lick of paint.
Apart from that we had a good evening. We will be going back again .
