What an amazing find. Came here to meet a family member as a half way point and will certainly be returning. There is so much to look at both inside and out. A very unique place. The staff/owners were lovely and very accommodating and the food was lush. We over faced ourselves and couldn't eat it all.
Someone recommended this place to us as very unique, and ohh yeh it is. The atmosphere it is lovely and very friendly, food is great too and if you are looking for something different and quirky, here it is. Totally recommend and dogs allowed which is a plus for us. Thank you for you great service. C&S🐾 from Wellington
Fantastically quirky pub that is a real surprise. The food was great, the staff and service excellent and the decor of the place is mind blowing! If you like somewhere a little different to the norm then this is the place for you, well worth the detour. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic! The decor is crazy - but in a really interesting quirky way rather than feeling cluttered. Given the name of the place I didn't know what to expect but it actually feels warm, clean and modern retro. It would be a fantastic place for a game of eye spy 👍🏻😁
We had the rack of ribs and katsu loaded fries. Everything was tasty but the ribs stood out as they were delicious and beautifully cooked.
The owners were friendly and the whole place appears to be doing very well. Not surprising given the effort that seems to have been put in here. Recommended by us.
We had heard so many good things about this place and we weren't disappointed. A lovely welcome from the friendly staff. Once inside this quirky building there is so much to see. From a motor scooter made into a table to 45 singles on the bar top. It doesn't stop there. The garden is wonderful. It is a feast for the eyes. Modular seating, beautiful lighting, classic furniture and lots of colour. The food was really good too. If you go here say hello to the parrot 🦜! Just been back and it even better. Superb tapas style Sunday lunch. The garden is an absolute work of art. You must go to this place. I would recommend this place and will certainly be going back. Been back. Just as good if not better!
Oh my god! Where to start! This place has been on my "bucket" list for way too long! Discovered this little gem on facebook and so glad we did!
Onsite parking and eclectic retro interior with plenty to catch the eye. Helpful and friendly staff and even friendlier and polite parrot!
The food absolutely amazing! Everyone was more than happy with their food, even the fussy teenager! 😱 looking forward to our next visit. And hopefully with better weather we can enjoy the beer garden too!
P.s. trademark espresso Martini
Looking for something a bit different? Then your first stop has to be the dog friendly Leather n Lace pub/restaurant, totally unique inside and brilliant outside, great for the whole family.
Well done
Always passed here but never been in until this evening, the decor is fantastic so much to see. The rear garden looks epic I would love to see it at night. Staff were nice and the food was good, very filling but managed desert. I definitely will return even if only for a drink. A refreshing pub, a novel experience.
Been wanting to try this ‘alternative’ pub for a while. Large car park with plenty of space, no steps or slopes into the bar. Access for buggies, wheelchairs etc should be okay, my mother walks with the aid of a frame and has no issues.
Inside the decor is certainly alternative but in a great way, loved it! Plenty to look at, keep you entertained and talk about as you wait for your food or just pass the time.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, there was just one guy running the bar, taking food orders and bringing food out; I thought he needed a helper or coworker really.
There is a decent bar area with seating or there is more ‘restaurant’ style seating further back beyond the bar. We chose to sit in the bar area seating which is a mixture of booth and chairs.
Dogs are allowed in which is great, there is free Wi-Fi which is good as my mobile signal was very poor.
The menu is standard pub food, quite a bit of choice and plenty of options for gluten free. I chose to have the fillet steak cooked medium, I had a starter of garlic bread but chose for it all to come out together.
Mother had beef brisket loaded fries, the portion was massive so I had to help her finish it. The steak was perfectly cooked, I chose to have the peppercorn sauce; this was a bit watery and bland. The steak comes with chunky chips, peas, mushrooms, tomatoes and onion rings.
For dessert I had the nutty apple crumble with ice cream, it was okay.
Overall this is a great venue with acceptable food, friendly staff and awesome decor that will keep you talking and looking all night. Based on this experience I would visit again.
Definitely worth a stop anytime you're rolling past. Great beer garden. Car and bike stuff everywhere. Great vibe
