First visit and won't be the last. This out of the way pub serves fantastic food. My husband had a steak which was cooked just as he asked but is desperate to go back to have the pork. I had a huge meringue nest for dessert which my husband had to finish. We visited after it was recommended to us. T

Our local WI group held the first round of our Skittles tournament at The Duck and the hospitality and service provided was excellent. What a find! Friendly staff, great service and fantastic food. This is not average pub grub. There is a varied menu and the food is well cooked and presented. Busy even on a Tuesday evening.
Outstanding gastro pub. Great menu, unusual ingredients (ie salsify)great flavour combinations. Lovely local ales and ciders (Butcombe recommended). Fab pub garden with ducks. Brilliant, friendly, professional staff. Sunday roasts are exemplary!
