Well situated in Bridgnorth Uppertown. We were in need of a Sunday lunch being in town for cricket. We had roast beef which was satisfactory but average.

My recent visit here for lunch was delightful, perfect to enjoy a casual lunch and catch up with friends.
Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and the food was delicious. Will definitely be returning!

Food was lovely, staff were really friendly and attentive. Very big pub in a great location with plenty of seating. Menu choice was good, would go back.

Perfect start to our week, the pie and a pint was amazing value for money and just perfcef for a sunny Monday! Nick spoke with my mom and reminiscing about old times, made her feel really welcome.

Very nice atmosphere in this large, but not overly huge, pub. Helpful staff. Great food. Excellent service. Well recommended.

Just been in for the Christmas meal, absolutely loved it, all cooked to perfection. Loved the choice of cheesy roast potatoes as a side 😋
Couldn't eat them all so they're coming home with me 👍

Nice pub, nice staff nothing was too much trouble. Food was very nice and they were nice size meals. They also allow bogs in the pub so that was a blessing for us has we had two dogs in out party.

Popped into the crown yesterday for a quick drink while we were in town. Sat in the beer garden, looked more like the aftermath of a party. Bottles and glasses everywhere, an open packet of crisps left strewn on one table and enough fag ends on the floor to confirm that the management and staff don't have a clue. And it wasn't even busy. The whole place looked filthy. I had gone into the bar to get the drinks so I hadn't seen the state of the place till I went back outside. We couldn't finish our drinks fast enough. Apparently they serve food! I wouldn't let my dog eat there!

Walked in at 12 20 to hear no ales and no half pint glasses .pub was rammed for footie ..couldn't get game on ..most left..waited 40 mins for drink ..pepsi ..flat no gas ....I just left on the bar ....listening to everyone moaning about food ...waiting times etc. ....not best place ..and with all screens and correct staff could be a goldmine !!

Hugely disappointed, we have visited The Crown twice in as many weeks as we were keen to sample the new menu. On the first occasion we were told that there was no food being served as the chef had walked out, however we were not officially informed of this by notice or staff so had already purchased drinks which we would have liked to enjoy with our lunch. Today's visit was a reinforcement of our last disappointment as I waited at the bar for ten minutes to be met with complete chaos on the part of the staff. It was finally my turn to be served and asked for two menus to accompany my drinks order. The manager said there was a half an hour wait for food which was fine by me. Bizarrely she then asked for my food order and when I replied I haven't even seen the menu yet she then declared that she wasn't taking any more food orders!
This abrupt rudeness was nothing short of arrogant and unprofessional, not to mention extremely confusing. I understand that lunchtimes are busy so I appreciate that occasionally there are queues of orders but that seems beyond the point on this occasion. To add to the oddity, the manager was taking all of the orders and shouting them out to her staff to prepare, instead of allowing them to take their own customers orders which would have eased the congestion at the bar much more swiftly! The appeal to return has definitely expired!

The new management team and staff are doing an outstanding job. Wonderful fresh food and nice cold pint. Can't recommend this place enough.

I've been here a couple times now and the place is fab, had a meal there today and didn't have to wait long, the portion size was generous and the food tasty, staff are also very pleasant and welcoming, will definitely be going there again!

Fantastic food, and service. Defo recommend coming for food. Nice chilled atmosphere, not to bad pricing either. (Defo try the stacker burger).

My wife and I visited this pub after exploring bridgenorth for a few hours and we ordered food and a pint of cider I was very pleased to see our meals delivered within a reasonable time and we both enjoyed them very much. Ample quantity and cooked as we like it . I really don't see why this place has received such negative reviews .friendly happy staff .nicely decorated premises and would recommend to anyone...

Visited today very disappointed with service and food....stated 40min wait which I understood as the Christmas market was on but we waited over an hour for food I didn't enjoy it at all as I'd gone past hungry by this stage. It's was obviously going to be busy so why not put more staff on? There was items missing of my partners meal too

Food took over an hour to come and the place was dead! Ordered a gluten free meal and was given normal bread on the plate!!!!! Do not go for food!

After waiting nearly an hour for food (no one said it would take that long) the food was pretty poor! Burnt burger, kids pizza was awful, chicken salad was basic. To be honest the menu description was nothing like what was presented to us. Awful!
Jamie Pescaglini
Absolutely terrible. We ordered two burgers and a kids meal and it took 30-40mins to come and the pub didn’t look busy at all. There was no mention of staff shortages as a warning. When the food arrived, it was possibly the worst meal I’ve ever seen. Both burgers we burnt, the sweet potato fries were cold and soggy, definitely from the day before and the kids meal was also cold and inedible. When I returned them, they simply brought the same meals back, warmed up....and that took an additional 15 mins! Don’t waste your time to go there for food, it’s truly awful on every level.
Oh, and the gents toilet literally had vomit up the back of one of the toilets in the cubicle, not good.

I had a fab lunch today, bar staff were very friendly, and the housekeeping was pretty much spot on, congrats to the new management who seem to be turning the place around an they've only been here a week, job well done 👍🏽 keep it up guys.
