Rooms is 3 star because I stayed in my motorhome, but electricity and water were available at each pitch, which is excellent. The shower block is a bit basic and run down. But Peter the Landlord gave a great reception and delivered good quality food in a pub of substantial age and history. The staff
We were in our camper in the well arranged campsite ,to the rear of the pub.Had a great meal in the pub restaurant, where Peter and staff took great care in looking after us .
Wonderful 16th century country Inn, where you're treated like family coming to stay, or just for drinks or dinner. Lovely ambiance. Host is welcoming, dinners are excellent and at pricing.
Lovely couple that own the place and we was made very welcome and our food was top notch all fresh nothing frozen so we recommend you trying it out its very old fashioned pub 😀
Peter and Julie were excellent hosts, cracking meals and lovely old pub, definitely go there again and use the camp site..
So I was camping here for a few days. Great friendly people. Good food in the pub. Toilet shower block could get busy in high season.
Nice Country pub/restaurant serving craft ales and limited food option, although what we had was very nice.
Lovely couple running it, nice and warm close to main road 1.5 mikes from Bridgnorth.
Offers own accommodation in small cottages, or camp site at rear, with parking up for caravans or motorhom
We stayed on site in our caravan. It was a lovely place to stay. Had a great walk with the dogs and came back to the pub for some drinks. Had a beautiful meal there, too. The staff were great and very welcoming. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we would not hesitate to return.
Lovely pub, wonderful old building with lots of beams and a beautiful open fire. We visited on new years day whilst out for a walk. The landlord had intended on opening at 2pm but welcomed us in a little earlier. Fabulous hospitality very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.
Need a place last minute to stay overnight with my dog, so helpful and understanding and managed to move someone to another room to accommodate us.
Lovely pub, brilliant pub food and good selection of drinks. Peter is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble.
Just called by for a drink and some food.
But no food this Sunday.
They said pre book for Sunday lunch.
Menu was on a Qr code no good to us old ones .
But the town Cryer pint went down well.
We've had a lovely time celebrating my birthday here with family and friends. Pete you are amazing 💙
Highly recommended, stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend, Peter and his team are very welcoming. The meal we had was delicious and the accommodation clean and spacious. Will be using the halfway Inn again.

Excellent food. Very well kept beer and good advice on the wine from friendly people. Very dog friendly.
2nd time staying in our caravan here. Lovely little site with a great pub. All staff are lovely polite and helpful. Cannot praise the food and service enough. Lovely place and look forward to many more stays here with it only being 45min drive from home. Thank you everyone for another great relaxing
