We had a lovely Father's day meal here last week. It was busy which you would expect on a day like that but the food was fresh and delicious. We had the carvery and you got great portions. The chef behind the carvery was really friendly too even going to find my son a bit extra that wasn't out on the front. All in all a lovely place to eat I am sure we will return. Only downside was it was a really hot day and because it is an older style building it got very hot inside. Perhaps some air conditioning would be a good idea for some of the more tucked away areas.

We came here for a carvery on a lovely Sunday afternoon. The food was beautiful, and the local beer was good. It was hot in the new eating area, but we escaped the heat after dinner and sat outside in the sun.

We stopped here with 48 passengers for the carvery. Personally from myself if was absolutely fantastic. The pork literally fell apart when it was carved, the Yorkshire puddings were some of the best I have ever had along with externally tasty gravy. I honestly couldn’t fault it. Speaking on behalf of the passengers they all said they couldn’t wait to return. Well done guys top job 👍🏻

We have been coming here for years and have never been let down. The food and staff are excellent. Fresh meat, veg and fruits. Plenty of parking and seats are set out spaciously. 10/10

A pleasant short stay out in the wilds. Difficult stairs to the accommodation are not suitable for the disabled. Terrific menu in a lovely dining area. Recommended.

An out of the way venue but worth the trip. Just returned from a nephew's 50th. Despite our disorganised gathering we sat down to order. Attentive and obliging staff. Most of us had starters which arrived promptly and were very tasty. The mains were from the menu or the carvery and everyone seemed more than happy. No complaints with the desserts either. Only one complaint? The dining chairs were straight backed and far from comfortable. Not helped by the stifling weather. All in all though, a very good evening.

The Down Inn is our go to carvery place. The atmosphere is nice, the staff are quick and the food is of great quality. It’s not a place for a budget meal but the prices are very good considering the quality. Only real downsides I can say would be that the car park is gravel so you’re bound to have a bit of dust/dirt transfer into your car and that the building can get quite warm in the summer but that’s really trying to find a negative. Overall a really nice place to eat.

Stopped off for a two course carvery, as part of a booked coach trip. This was one of the nicest meals I've ever eaten, the choice was amazing, the carvery was beautiful. There are no words to describe how good the cheesecake was!! The staff were so nice and friendly too. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely Inn x

As always food and venue were brilliant, unfortunately the 2 people on the bar were rubbish at serving people in order so what should of been a relatively quick order ended up a 15 minute wait even after catching their attention 3 times to show we were waiting to order and they instead served people that were after us.

The family booked for a Sunday carvery, which was deliciously cooked to perfection, with a great selection of vegetables to select from. A stunning location with views over the rolling Shropshire landscape, just outside of Bridgnorth with friendly, professional staff. Very good value for money and would highly recommend.

Excellent food and service. Took my mother here 21st June for lunch, I used to visit over 5 years ago when I was in the area. If anything I found the food had improved, and it was very nice then.
