Had a fabulous lunch today. Bruschetta, burgers and steak were all perfect and the chips are amazing. The kids fish fingers are outstanding. Chunks of fresh battered pure white fish cooked to perfection. No shop-bought rubbish.
Service was on-point and efficient by very friendly girls and prices are very reasonable for such excellent fare.
We'll be back again for sure. Big ��
What a lovely meal we had yesterday in the Westerton Arms what a difference the new owner is making lovely food and lovely staff will be going back again.

We were in yesterday for the 1st time for lunch as our dog was at the vet hospital, as we are from Hamilton. The staff were so friendly and our 2 course meal was beautiful. I had the best ever Haggis Bon Bons n my husband Stevie had the best ever Fish Cakes for starters, they were both outstanding xxxx

My good friends and I were at the Westerton for lunch yesterday and we couldnt fault it. Tje service was fantastic. We were served with a smile and food was delicious. One of our ladies was gluten free too and they catered for this no problem. Our choice was fish and chips, macaroni with chips and garlic bread and salmon fish cakes and all were delicious. I would highly recommend a visit and will definitely be back.
Lovely lunch yesterday. I had the soup & sandwich lunch deal and struggled to finish it the size of ciabatta but I certainly gave it a good go as it was delicious. Hubby had the veal special and it was lovely too. Good choices on menu something for everyone and freshly cooked which is always better as I'd rather wait for good food. Staff friendly and lovely restaurant. Look forward to a return visit next time we are down that way.
Visited yesterday on a recommendation and wasn’t disappointed. Lovely food and very reasonably price and nice atmosphere. Sat outside in beer garden and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Will definitely be back
Won the competition vouchers � went for our meal Saturday, had bruschetta,fillet steak all the trimmings then meringue with raspberries, Kevin had toffee cake and ice cream was superb will be back, well worth a visit �

My family and I were here as our half way stopping point on holiday. We have been here before and both visits the service was outstanding, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was excellent.

I enjoyed my dinner here but it was very busy which meant service was quite slow. We waited 25 minutes for drinks. Food arrived soon after.

Had yet another excellent meal and very enjoyable evening out at the Westerton, one of our favourite venues for dining in the area. We arrived just after last orders had been called as it was a very last-minute decision, but were still accommodated. Pauline and her colleagues were really friendly and attentive and the food, as always, was excellent. We are regular guests and are already looking forward to our next visit. Stopped off for some dinner. Welcomed in by friendly staff, they were all wearing masks and the place was spotless. Ordered drinks at the bar and went to sit in the beer garden. Drinks were with us in minutes and our food order taken. Barman came back with card machine for us to pay and we were told that they were continuing the 'eat out to help out' scheme throughout September, which was great as a reasonably priced dinner became even better. Food was very tasty and hot. Will definitely be back during our holiday. Many thanks to all staff.
Plaudits for every facet of this restaurant. From a delicious and unusual liver parfait starter to a main dish of succulent lamb with black pudding gratin. The chef is a genius!

Staff good but drink prices too high eg 1 pint of lager and 1 large white wine was over £14. This is an Edinburgh city price. OK for the once in a while quick drink only.
Stopped for lunch on our long journey home. Good service and felt welcome. The food was really fresh and well presented. I had the best mussels I've had for a very long time!!

We went in for some food. We had not booked but luckily they had a table for us. The service was great with very polite staff. The food was also great. We both had burgers. We would definitely go back.
A wonderful find on a trip to Aberdeen when seeking a nice breakfast.
Visited with friends from New York we were a party of 16 and dropped in when passing. The size of the party didnt phase the staff at all. The place was well appointed with a tradition decor. Some table outside too. The service was efficient and attentive. The foid was great and our large group sampled a few dishes ftom the menu all of which were good. Drinks were good some had cocktails which were good. A great lunch and very personable service. Thanks and well done.
Lovely place for Sunday Lunch - food was so good - especially the desserts! The food was a bit slow arriving, but the drinks arrived fairly quickly to keep us going 🙂
Absolutely brilliant!! The staff could not have been nicer. We had had a walk on the Darn Path, called there, & had drinks & chips. We left, had a walk along Alva Glen & returned & had more drinks & chips! That's how good they were, we will be returning! 🥳
