We ate here for brunch and enjoyed it so much that we went back for dinner. We had a lovely breakfast and had our dog with us sitting outside in the sun (dogs allowed inside as well!). I can't recommend dinner enough! The bao buns and the pig out fries are to die for! The staff on both shifts were friendly and attentive. Friend of mine has a really nice modern and chilled vibe. Will definitely be back!

Very enjoyable experience. We went for brunch, lots of exciting things to choose from. Food was amazing, drinks were good. Note: If you just want normal food I would not recommend coming here.

The service was excellent and the food matched it. It isn't cheap, but really good food, served as it was never is. Ok, it wasn't 'fine dining' but the quality and flavour combinations were sublime. We would definitely go again and recommend them to others.

On our way back from Doune Castle into Stirling, we decided to stop for shopping and a late lunch. We spotted Friend of Mine and we were so happy with our choice. I had the pork belly baos and my son had Venison Tacos with Rosemary Fries. Everything was so delicious. I highly recommend Friend of Mine, even if you're staying in Stirling. It's a short drive from Stirling and well worth it. Staff is friendly, it's dog friendly, dress is casual and prices are fair.

I’ve been to FOM many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner with various family members, also recently bought a gift voucher as a gift. Met my friend for breakfast this morning and was a little disappointed in both the food and the service. I ordered the breakfast tacos which were only two tiny little tacos. As I ordered breakfast and not finger food, I mentioned this politely to the (I think manager) when paying the bill who shrugged and said it’s a light breakfast. But in my opinion there’s a difference between a light breakfast and a stingy one and customers don’t want to feel like they have been short changed. After we paid at the till, manager didn’t even say thanks for coming, just handed the change and rudely turned her back on us. A smile would also have been nice. This is a gem of a place in Bridge of Allan that I really like to visit so please don’t let your standards or customer service slip!

BEST BREAKFAST BANANA BREAD If you find yourself in and around the Bridge of Allan, Stirling or even looking for somewhere yummy for brunch pre visiting The Helix The Kelpies (25 min drive away) think about stopping in at Friend of Mine, Bridge of Allan High Street. This cafe has plenty of inside and outdoor seating (a wee suntrap) and dishes up very scrumptious sounding and looking brunches and breakfasts. I tucked into this Breakfast Banana Bread with Katie Rodgers Crowdie and a pear 🍐 and ginger compote. The banana bread was warm, with the crowdie slowly and softly melting over it. The compote was Spiced and gave the banana bread a giant hug of yumminess. Superb coffee too ☕️

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and sat at the bar. Service was a little slow, but it was also pretty crowded. We ordered the pork belly bao buns, venison tacos, and Vietnamese corn fritters. The bao buns were pretty good, the tacos were overfilled (and personally I didn’t love the filling), but the corn fritters were amazing! Definitely recommend those.

Dropped in here for a quick bite and wasn’t disappointed, lovely freshly cooked and tasty food. You can see the kitchen which is always a good start in my book. Service was attentive and with a smile. Menu was explained well, we had 4 small dishes and a Bao main which for two big eaters was perfect. We shall be back 😬

So delicious!!! One of the best meals I've had in ages, can't recommend it enough. We are a vegan and a gluten intolerant and there was plenty for us both to eat. We ate every morsel and I want to go back to try everything I didn't get to try. Service was excellent too 👌

REALLY TASTY FOOD! Went here for Brunch and was very impressed. I had the Haggis Benedict which was superb. My friend had warmed Banana Loaf with whipped feta, pear and ginger chutney with pecans on top. Again, really tasty. Nice place, very engaging staff and fair pricing. What's not to like? Will definitely go back.

Brilliant dog friendly place a short 30min walk from University and just off A9. We pre-booked a table for a weds night incl dog on our journey home. Fantastic menu and service, wished we lived closer. We wanted to try everything and settled on Miso mushroom broth , prawns with black rice, short rib taco, pork belly bao (my favourite) and rosemary fries. Loved everything loads of food glad of the 30min walk back to university accommodation!

My 4th visit, Great Service as usual from lovely bunch of people, very welcoming snd good recommendations on the favourites, especially for my vegan wife. Special shout out to Eleanor who performed a miracle and made our daughter smile when she had missed her nap.

Friend of Mine is fantastic - there are several delicious vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free dishes as well as meat ones. I've been twice now and only wish I'd found it sooner. Everything I've eaten here (vegan) was full of flavour. The staff are lovely, very welcoming and good humoured.

Today I finally decided to test out this gem in Bridge of Allan, and I was not disappointed. Friend Of Mine is a wee restaurant in the town centre. It was very bussy when we came there 4 pm on a monday. They had a large drink menu with both smoothies and shakes. I went for a salted caramel milkshake and it was really good. For food I got recommended pork belly in baos. I am not a big fan of baos, but this food was and experience made for Gods. The pork belly was so juicy and infused with bbq flavours. There was also a hint of sriracha which made the flavours even better. I also had fries with korean bbq pork, pickled carrot and spring onion. This side order went so well with the rest of the food. And the meat was just as juicy. Drinks a wee bit expensive and food portions could be bigger. Service can be better and more personal.

Lovely restaurant, with tables inside and out. The food was excellent, I had Monkfish Tacos and my wife a Waldorf salad, both of which were freshly prepared and delicious. They also have a good drinks selection, with artisan gins. Service was great and prices are reasonable, so will definitely visit again.
