Dined last night for my birthday meal. Personally I can't see past the steak with spinach and sauce. If I fancy a tasty tender steak, this is the only place for me.
As it was my birthday I also had a few cocktail's, fantastic. Marco spoiled us as usual. Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant, great food, great cocktails, beautiful surroundings.
What can we say......fantastic as always! We had a family christening here at the weekend and everything was superb from start to finish! The catering for over 100 people was first class, the food which consisted of seafood, meats, cheese, pizza, pasta and much much more was delicious, with the added bonus of being served by polite and courteous staff. The space and grounds both in the restaurant and outside were used to its full potential and the bouncy castle was again a wee extra bonus for the 30 odd children in attendance( a special thank you for that). The staff worked so hard to make sure the day went off without a hitch and we can't thank them enough. We without doubt would recommend this restaurant to anyone who was looking for either a lovely romantic meal for 2, a family gathering with children, or a big event, I'm certain nothing would be a problem here! Popped in for lunch yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Marco and the staff there were very friendly and attentive.
Great choices at an affordable lunchtime special price and the quality was mouth-wateringly delicious.
Very tasty homemade cream of potato soup, followed by a lovely salmon dish with broccoli, red cabbage and potatoes......mmmmmm!
My companions equally enjoyed their risotto dish and Tuscan sausage panini.
Greed spurred us on to sample the home made strawberry ice cream which was worth the visit alone!
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience and one which we will definitely repeat very soon.

Each time I have visited here, the food has been out of this world. I am vegetarian and pasta freak so I highly recommend the Spaghetti dello Chef. The staff are lovely and very helpful too. Excellent food and service. x
Really great Valentines night in Vecchia bologna in Bridge of Allan, with two ladies to keep me company. Cracking 3 course meal for £20. Restaurant is looking lovely and staff really smartly dressed with black aprons. Very posh looking, but still very friendly and relaxed and excellent value for money. Thanks to Marco, Claudio and all the staff.

Was there for my mums birthday. The staff were attentive but not overly in your face and the food was delicious. Dad loved the seafood starters and my mum enjoyed her veal main course. My wife was particularly impressed with the pork shin and my pizza was great. My sticky toffee pudding was wonderfully light. My brother and his girlfriend also loved their meals.
All in all an excellent evening
First meal in Bridge of Allan for daughters 18th (who’s just started st Stirling Uni). Lovely surroundings, food was beautiful, especially loved the toblerone & salted caramel cheesecake. I’m quite sure it won’t be our last visit.

Service efficient and professional. Food was served in a timely manager. Relaxed atmosphere. The mix of customers when we were there was couples have a romantic meal to families with young children.
Dinning room was spacious, with large windows letting in plenty of natural light. Large tables made the experience of dinning relaxed.
Food itself was cooked to a high standard and tasty.
Staff were friendly without be over bearing. Left to get on with our meal.
Only negative; car park needs resurfaced.
I ordered Italian style fish and chips that come with fried squid and a glass of virgin mojitor. The food came pretty quickly and tasted good. The fries was a little cold but fine. Mojito is awesome. The service is not bad and the price is acceptable.
Very busy place, got some weird looks for dining solo... probably should have made a reservation. Regardless, the food was delicious.
Very warm and welcoming. Would reccomend their homemade deserts, especially the tiramisu. Excellent!
Lovely venue. Three of us dined there. We all had different dishes - starters and mains. All were excellent. Cooked to perfection and generous helpings. Really good value - less expensive than many other quality restaurants. Highly recommended.
Eaten here a few times, food is always super, staff are always very friendly and helpful. Restaurant works to a high standard and the atmosphere is always very pleasant. Visited as a large group and as a couple and service has never let me down regardless of how busy it is. Will definitely be back!
Had a really enjoyable lunch, whilst waiting on teenagers visiting University of Stirling. Turns out there was a Groupon deal on. Next time we will check. Will definitely return again. Food was excellent.

The food here is superb. Can't fault it. The setting for the restaurant is ideal and the staff are all excellant. The place has been there for many years and has always been very good. I have eaten there many times and intend to eat there many more.
This place is just lovely. Warm and inviting on a cold night, I had a fabulous pizza, my husband was very happy with his steak and they know what they're doing with a tiramisu. Well worth venturing up the hill for!
Vecchia Bologna is a great place to eat out! It's been a while, that I enjoyed such great quality of food and so deliciously prepared!
The staff are attentive and friendly. And amazingly, price-wise Bologna is not much more expensive than other restaurants in the area.
Hence, this restaurant comes highly recommended! You definitely get your monies worth!

Fantastic restaurant which serves a large range of dishes, from seafood to pasta, pizza to grilled steaks. It's very much a posh place with prices to match, so don't expect a bargain. I had the spaghetti with seafood which was great; it included fresh mussels, a langoustine, fish meat and squid rings.
So yeah, come here for a treat!

We dined at the restaurant all 5 of us for a birthday treat. It was a weekend and the restaurant was very busy so make sure you book. The food was excellent and the waiter service very attentive. All in all, a great dining experience.
Really enjoyed our visit for a graduation celebration. Food looked good and was very tasty. We enjoyed all 3 courses as well as a cocktail or two. Would happily return.
