My dog Ernie and I went to the Bell based on the Google recommendations and they're completely right. This is a wonderful pub and we received a lovely warm reception and a special treat for Ernie which he gratefully wolfed down! The food is wholesome, home made and gorgeous and I would recommend this wonderful establishment to anyone! There is a section for people dining with dogs which is unusual and very welcome rather than being crammed next to the bar and they've got a beautiful parrot called Mickey who is stunning and entertaining!
Best pub food we eaten in years. The staff are loverly. Definitely we will be returning.
Ben wanting to check this place out for, well, years! Finally went for lunch today and had a great meal. The mixed meat pie was epic. Tasty, well kept beer and a PUB PARROT!!

Only popped in for a quick pint on a bike ride, but quality all round was excellent.
The Bell is great pub restaurant. Its comfortable to sit in with well lit modern decor but still maintaining its older charm. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, dogs are welcome in the bar and raised seating area (very welcome, water down, 'dinner' offered, snacks available). Food is really good; wholesome, fresh and tasty. You have to have a pie, lots of choice, fresh made in the kitchen, just brilliant.
Hadn't been in here for ages, hearing it had recently been done up, thought I'd give it a go
. Nicely laid out, good range of drinks and excellent service. Impressive menu, and the portions do tend to be on the large side. Had a chicken and bacon pie and chips, could only eat half which was a shame, as the food is fantastic.
Easy to get to (next to the A5) and lovely views out the back, would be nice during the summer.
Only slight drawback is the same as a lot of modern pubs, which is wooden floors and no curtains, which can amplify the noise if busy.
Also has the added attraction of a parrot! :-D

Travel past here frequently and noticed they'd spruced the outside up, so decided to pay a visit late afternoon on a Sunday.Car park was full, even at almost 4 pm. Had no idea it was quite so contemporary inside, and really enjoyed the ham egg n chips. Would definitely be thinking of trying the Sunday roast sometime soon.
A warm welcome to be had from the moment we walked in. Not overly busy but still a great atmosphere. Proprietors Caroline and Nicola are extremely attentive without being overbearing. The food is freshly cooked and delicious. Well done girls, had a fabulous afternoon and will definitely be returning soon. "A little gem" 👌👌
Excellent food and service. Very nice craft beers too. Meals are excellent value. Very good variety of food. We have booked to go again with a party in May 2019. If we are in the area will go again. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
My wife and I (!) have just had the most wonderful minted lamb pie. Probably the best pie I have ever eaten! The beer is good as well. Lovely friendly pub hope to visit again.

T Bone steak cooked to perfection, great taste ,Gammon meal cooked perfect very tasty with pineapple ,egg, chips ,side orders Onion rings to die for . Lamb shank it just slid off the bone ,everything done to a very good standard , Well worth the visit ,Owners ,Staff ,Chef all very friendly ,New owners will soon be celebrating their 12 months ownership ,and they are doing a great job , very well maintained in all areas , Xmas menu out looks fantastic , So why not book ,good homemade food ,starters ,main,& desserts. You won't be disappointed ,I wasn't .

Very warm welcome, meals are mouth watering, we have been to many posh places to eat, The Bell tops all of them. Enjoyed are evening there. We will be back.
