Stopped a catch up and drink. Friendly pub. Homely atmosphere. Small but with a big outdoor garden area. Plenty of drinks on tap. Clean facilities. Ample parking. Children's play area at the rear. Overall it's a nice pub if local or passing. Can't comment on if they sell food or the quality.

Popped in on our way out for dinner. Service, for a Friday night, was quick. A big beer garden and play area for children. They have a good selection of beers. And the house wine was good also.

Lovely lunch in the garden. Friendly staff and friendly clientele! Steak strips were lovely and quick to be cooked. Also took dog and was very welcoming by staff and Visitors.

Held a christening party here and couldn't have been happier. The buffet food they laid on was great and very reasonable. Staff were so lovely and accommodating. And there is a great outside play area that kept the kids entertained the whole afternoon. Couldn't recommend more.

Really wasn’t sure about visiting The Brave Nelson with the wife & kids so asked a neighbour who recommended it. So glad we went. Lovely little pub with an expansive gorgeous outdoor beer garden with benches and parasols. Great cider and the barmaid couldn’t have been friendlier. Seeing my three kids, the barmaid (Katrina) served us all drinks then assured us she’d put up a bouncy castle in the garden for them. Ten minutes later they were having so much fun bouncing around on it while me and my wife laughed in the sun drinking cider. I even had a go on the bouncy castle myself and bounced straight out! Cannot recommend enough! Only criticism is the pub doesn’t serve food which would definitely give them a 5* review but maybe in time that’ll come. Otherwise, couldn’t be more delighted with the afternoon we had there and will definitely be going back again and again. Apparently, a new children’s play area is being installed soon so it can only get better. Can’t wait!

Been here a couple of times before. The inside is quite small but nice. The garden / patio is really nice. Even liked the fact that the seats on benches fold in so even if it was previously raining, you get a dry seat outside

Great pub for lager drinkers, not so for Real Ale. Clean, spacious, carpark and outdoor area under cover.

Nice little pub with tv, pool table and ample parking. Bar stools were a nice change to see too. Good choice of beers, ales and spirits - worth a visit if you fancy a quiet pint or two

Lovely well kept pub, great outside and inside seating areas. Really friendly and welcoming staff, service 5*. Currently not serving food which was a real shame as we'd have loved a meal however they are happy for people to bring food in and consume the pubs bevages. Really 5* find - will be back again.

Nice beer garden with covered area, heaters and nice outdoor lighting. Ordering of drinks and food is through a QR code on the table that takes you to an app. Not sure if this is just because of the current restrictions but thought it was a great idea and the service was quick. Food was ok (burger and chips). The owner seemed hands on and mingled with the customers. Looked very well organised. We had a good night celebrating our friend’s birthday 🍸
