George and Dragon Mountnessing
We enjoyed lovely afternoon at the George and Dragon. The roasts were very good as were the starters and desserts. The food was matched by friendly service from our waitress Keira who it was a pleasure to meet. I would definitely recommend a visit and will definitely back ourselves soon.

A few of us on motorbike decided to stop here. Luckily we managed to get seated. Was only going in for a drink but ended up eating. Well the roast was lovely. The spuds were the best I have ever had. It was so yummy. Would definitely stop there again. The staff was nice and friendly. The place was clean. Also your allowed dogs which is good. Definitely recommend it. But ring up and book a table. Unlike the 5 of us that just turned up. 😁
Friendly staff, but struggling to cope on a busy Father’s Day. Food is good but over seasoned. Drinks reasonably priced and good choice. Recommended for a family meal at the weekend.
No tables in the restaurant were available on a Monday night and I didn't notice that the place was heaving on a Monday night. But in the end we got some bar tables in a comfortable little nook and that was actually much better set up for our little group! Really loved the look of the place, nice atmosphere, no blaring music so can have a convo easily, good food and lovely cocktails! Perfect for a night catching up with good friends.
Excellent festive menu, £30 for 3 courses. Beetroot and goats cheese Tarte tatin was delicious and the turkey Christmas meal was substantial. Squid had a delicious batter. Snowball smash dessert was innovative!
Only let down was smoked trout starter which was a tiny portion, even for a starter. Service was perfunctory, rather than overly warm or friendly.
Large car park and very pleasant and warm interior.
Very quiet, and certainly not as busy as anticipated. However, we soon became aware this was due to severe staff shortages both front of house and in the kitchen, so other bookings had to be cancelled, plus lagre number of "no shows". This also impacted the menu choices too, and some items were not available. Our host, Charlie (we think, or possibly Kiran), coped admirably on his own in the circumstances and looked after us very well. Food quality was a little indifferent, but couldn't fault portion size value for money overall.
Lovely meal this evening. Staff were very pleasant, food extremely high class, relaxed atmosphere and our waitress Lily was exceptional. Nothing was too much for her and she made our first experience in this pub wonderful. We will definitely be back 😉
Had a lovely family lunch, food and service were good, no complaints at all, we’ll definitely be back
Lovely food butbif you have a mini cheesecake it all fit on a spoon lol
This restaurant was really nice. My catch up lunch with friends went great due to the quality of food and service. One of my guests had a tomato allergy and both the waitress and chef were so attentive to detail. Very very happy and can't wait to go back.
