After visiting here a LONG time ago I wasn't expecting too much.
I was pleasantly surprised.
Our meal was REALLY good and the girls looking after us were very friendly and efficient.
All in all a good choice of venue which gained me brownie points with the wife too.
Will definitely return again soon.
Must add also that it was, in my opinion, very reasonably priced too.

Went again today on way home from being somewhere.
Nothing wrong with my meal at all.
Good food, nice surroundings, friendly staff, reasonable cost.
Ticks all the boxes for me.
Had a lovely lasagne ( homemade ) staff are lovely was served by 2 lovely ladies called Hayley and Sue. Toilets are so clean and fresh.
Stopped by for a lunch break. Was really empty,maybe 4-6 people all together.
Place is nice and clean,classic english pub/restaurant look,but really clean,no smoking inside.
Had fish and chips.
Would come back to this place again. Maybe next time for a drink,was impressed on the size of bars, I have seen 2 bars.
I hosted my sons 1st birthday party in the Herongate Suite at The Halfway House and it was absolutely perfect. The space ticks every box and all my guests couldn’t believe how nice it was. Deanne was a huge help and couldn’t do anymore for us. Will definitely use this space again for further events. Thank you!
Popped in with some work colleagues after work. Food was very good. Nice and hot. Plenty of parking. There was a private function going on so only a small seating area to choose from. Would visit again if passing.
Very quiet when we went in Sunday lunch time. I had chicken with mushroom sauce and dalphinois potatoes, my husband had a roast beef Sunday lunch, both were big servings especially the Sunday lunch .
Food is always piping hot when it gets to you. I’ve enjoyed every meal I’ve had here. The curry had celery in it..... in my eyes, that’s a little strange. The staff are very friendly and can accommodate your needs if you have any dietary conditions. Would come here again, thumbs up from me
Popped in here for lunch and ended up having dinner as the food looked so good! Everyone in my party enjoyed the food from the spaghetti Bolognese to the pie to the roast, all were cooked well with good sized portions. Desert was equally as nice and we left satisfied. Fair price for a good meal, we will returning!

We booked in here on a return trip from the airport and was once again really pleased with both the quality and cost of out meal. Again fair sized portions and a friendly atmosphere. If your a lover of traditional pub grub, pie, liver and bacon, steak and chips this place is for you. Very fair prices and great friendly service.
Went to party there. It's a lovely place all set out nice. The staff were friendly and the buffet was nice only thing I could say bad was that it was really hot and either the air conditioning wasn't on or it just couldn't cope with the amount of people in that space.
Good choice menu. Friendly and lively staff. Spacious and pleasant atmosphere. Plenty of parking space. Also has Kids play area outside.
Staff were great. Had to wait quite a while to be seated, just a drink. But there was a notice saying short staffed. Plus our order was wrong. It hasn't put me off, so I will be returning and try a meal.
Stopped in here for a quick bit of dinner on way home, opted for the steak pie veg n mash, my god never have I had such a delicious meal, was blown away with the thick chunks of fatless steak... See for yourselves you will love it... 👍
Had hen party for my daughter last Saturday with 30 guests. Couple of small niggles, had done all final arrangements and payment but this was changed last minute. Luckily did not effect the day in the end but caused concern at the time. No table cloth on buffet table. Overall food was good and our young helper on the day was amazing, so helpful and couldn't do enough to please.
Reinas pie was fantastic, great to meet with friends and dog friendly too!
Food was great, very tasty, hot and cooked fresh. Complement to the chef. Waitresses very helpful and polite. Will definitely be returning here.
Had a lovely meal with friends here. Food was lovely. The food took a little time but all good things come to those that wait.
The food was delicious and they atmosphere was very cute and cozy.
