Fantastic charming garden space, was perfect for a 40th get-together. The food was delicious, sandwich platter and bar bites. Service and staff was spot on. If your looking for some good quality food, (burgers and chips highly recommended) a nice hidden chilled relaxed local, try the Nelson.
The customer service is great and the food, specially the Sunday Roast and Sticky toffee pudding! They have a beautiful garden too, perfect for summer days.
Of the two pubs in the area we visited this place was closer, right down the street from where we were staying. The staff there was really nice and friendlier(had quite a few laughs) and the food was really good too. Plus side is they had a meatless menu which my wife was happy about. I can’t rememb
This is our local pub, we have only been here a handful of times but will definitely be visiting more!! This pub did a wake for us and everything was dealt with sensitively and with such care. The food was so lovely and the staff were very professional but so friendly. Beautiful garden. No problems
Great lamb roast, staff & chef top drawer. Last here in the mid 1960's but the large extension and refurb has saved this once regular haunt of mine.
Lovely pub with good atmosphere. We ate inside because I am an oldie but the garden looked lovely too. The food was great. The grilled halloumi starter and spiced salmon with creamy parmesan orzo mains were both excellent. Friendly staff gave a great service. I can't wait to go again.

Last time we popped in for an evening meal they had very little in the Vegan menu. But glad to say we went again today and had a wonderful vegan sunday roast. Yummy

Was at Lord Nelson Pub tonight and joined in on the Bring Your Own Vinyl for the first time with a little Roots Rock Reggae selection. It was great fun and met some nice people with nice varied good quality music playing. Have been before for food too and it was awesome. Thank you. See you soon. Bl
