Top top staff and lovely food. The place to be for anyone in need of a pint or some food. Lads
Great roast dinner and desert good portions and top quality cuisine Brentford's hidden gem restuarant
Fantastic pub; very accommodating and friendly landlords. They let us use their function room upstairs, where we easily fitted in 30 attendees for a Pub Quiz night. The food was smashing as well.
What a great pub really well looked after !!no bother with opposition fans well.done to the Griffin
Great little pub made to feel welcome.and bar staff unreal.serving three people at once
Simply put, this is the best pub in the best place on the planet.
We called in here yesterday on route to see pantomine to see if we could get some food , even though we hadnt booked they manage to accomodate us (party of 6). Service . Food and atmosphere was xcellent . Would highly reccomend this place .... thanks
Oh and the prices were ok as well
We were greeted with a very warm welcome and enjoyed a fantastic Christmas dinner. Food and service was superb thanks you guys
Great Beers , nice friendly staff , recommend it for away supporters
This is more than a simple pub (though it’s a quite good one for drink, conversation and football). What I love most here is the unexpected and creatively excellent food AND the friendly “vibe” that Gerhard and Clare offer to all. It’s a family-place but one where the loyal followers also welcome others. Now while I wish their peas were mushy, the fish was huge and sweet! So the Fish n Chips were top notch. But the Sunday Roast was outstanding!!! (Hungry just looking at the pic to post). As well, who in their right might would dream of making Haggis Samosas?? (The answer is Gerhard and my goodness they were creamy and delish- who knew!!!)
Love this pub. Although we're not avid football fans we visit regularly for their delicious food and very friendly service. Great veggie options, good selection of beers on tap, and whoever is behind the bar is always very friendly, helpful and personable. Cute pub cat as well - bonus :)
PS. try their french onion soup, it's to die for.
A great little place hidden away in Brentford. Lovely pub with the greatest landlords named Scully and Zelda. Fantastic couple of bosses keeping the human servants in check. Great beer and wonderful service. Highly recommended by me, keep smiling.
The Griffin in Brentford is a local gem that reflects the heart of the community, combining traditional British hospitality with a contemporary twist. With its inviting and laid-back atmosphere, this pub offers a diverse menu of mouthwatering dishes and an extensive selection of beverages, creating a delightful experience for patrons. The Griffin's warm and friendly service, coupled with its cozy ambiance, makes it a perfect spot for locals and visitors to enjoy the authentic charm of a community-centered pub in the lively neighborhood of Brentford.
Had a great meal here recently. Food was really flavoursome and reasonably priced.
Staff were very friendly. Would come back again. Thanks to all the team!
Built in 1883. Traditional no frills pub. Long history in Brentford. Welcoming and unpretentious.
Bar staff are friendly. The retro decor has carpeted floors, frosted windows, brewery stamped mirrors and art deco lighting. This pub is a dying breed amongst the new hipster joints around London.
Has the staple bar snacks like pork scratchings and crisps. Roasts available on Sundays. Big range of ales and lager with decent wine options.
Live music playing a range of genres for the local West Londoners.
Great for people watching, the locals are genuine and you can sense the comradery between them.
One of four pubs on each corner of the old Brentford Griffin Park, soon to be developed into flats most likely..
Well worth a visit.
Visited last Saturday to celebrate friends' 50th wedding anniversary.
Have to say this pubs an absolute Belter.
The staff, especially the young lady behind the bar, were superb. The food was simply first class and a Great family friendly atmosphere.
Unlikely, we will visit again as we live over 200 miles away. However, if we are ever in the area, we will definitely be back.
Bravo All concerned...5 Stars All the Way !!
Amazing local pub and delicious food, really high quality British pub gastro, choose a boisterous day when Brentford are playing at home for great atmosphere or take a peaceful day off from football and enjoy the legendary Sunday lunch - thoroughly recommend 👍👍😊
Took a walk after a long day of sight seeing around southern England and found this place by our hotel. The people were great, the food was awesome, the beer was cold, and even had a dog named Alfie hang out with us. We will be back.
Best raoasty toasty potato's ever. Great chef and Abu, I believe, best host in the world. Lovely lunch to remember 💕
Fantastic, great service, great dining area and great food at a great price. I bought the burger with unlimited toppings and it was fantastic I ordered evry topping and only paid £12 well worth it. Other people on my table ordered roast dinner which also tasted very good and the veg in that sauce is to die for. Would definitely go back again
Such a lovely place to spend a relaxed evening with friends in a pub - totally recommend. Especially super nice and friendly server & for all who needs to eat gluten-free or even have celiac: absolutely no problem here! Looking forward to next time!
Best cider I’ve tried, hands down. I’m still thinking about it 2 months later 😍 this pub was quite cozy. The veggie burger I ordered was huge and flavorful. Would visit again if I were in the area.
Lovely little pub. Shame England beat Ireland in the rugby while I was here, maybe it could have been 5 stars if the result reversed!
After spotting a sign promoting beer and burgers thought I'd drop in - wow, the (fully loaded) Griffin Burger was so much more than a simple burger. I've travelled the world a lot and eaten in some seriously posh places, but the Griffin Burger is definitely one of my favourites! The Griffin has become my local (even though others closer) thanks to the food and the great staff. Definitely worth checking out (don't expect gastropub decor - it's a proper local!)
Greatest pub in London. Make sure you bring cash! Fighting the globalist WEF neofascists one pint at a time
Historic football pub, home to Brentford FC fans. Very good quality food and beer. Friendly customers and staff.
Great wee place, can't score the food as I didn't have any, but the atmosphere and the service was great, will be back
