There are many cafe's in Brecon, but Coffee #1 is by far my favourite. I have frequented others from time to time, but always gravitate back here.
The menu choice for both food and drink is impressive, especially the cake selection, you definitely won't be spoilt for choice.

Atmosphere is a mixed bag - the furnishings are nice enough but if it gets crowded the atmosphere is gone.
Great place for coffee! Food was pre-packaged, would have been great if they served a light breakfast! The prepackaged food was fine, good for something quick before a hike.

Best coffee house in town really. Great food, drinks, decor, spacious, comfortable table and chairs and the friendliest most efficient staff out there. I am sure the staff get quality in house training...nobody can be this consistently nice all the year round. Only down side is there is

Coffee 1 is a very busy place where you can get a great cappuccino. It is nice that they are also dog friendly.

Lovely café, very crowded when we were here (during jazz festival in August). Staff worked really hard and we so friendly! 30+ degrees outside but my daughter felt like a hot chocolate: not a problem! Different alternatives available for milk in my coffee, which was great. Stopped by for coffee which was very nice, also had cake, delicious, which is always good to do. Staff were really friendly. Also great was the fact it is dog friendly 👌.

The tables need to be cleared and cleaned faster after a customer has left.
That being said, it's worth a visit.
