Staff very friendly upon arrival and throughout the meal. Food was perfect and well presented! Treated ourselves to the Gin menu - was spot on! On our hols but will definitely visit again if we are in the area! Would highly recommend!
Lovely food. Took parents to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary's (7th and 54th) for the evening, loved the food so much we went back the next day for lunch. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The breakfast here is like some kind of amazing 5 star hotel breakfast. Quality sausages and bacon, perfectly poached eggs, a real treat and not too expensive.
Hubby and l had lunch today from the Specials menu .
Had the starter of Monkfish scampi . . Followed my Venison haunch . . Both a absolute delight . . Staff as normal friendly and helpful . Decided to treat ourselves to a glass of Merlot to complement the venison . Only to find that Ollie had treated us to our drinks . .

We had yet another wonderful lunch at SQ today - grilled prawns, a roast beef lunch, followed by Hockings ice cream. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented - probably the nicest roast lunch I have had in Devon. And, of course, the fantastic Staff who are so attentive at all times. Well done Olly and team for running such a great business. xx

Visited last night with my mum, the mussels I had as a starter were fresh and full of flavour, we both had the crusted lamb for a main and the quality was out of this world (huge compliments to your chefs) the coconut creme brûlée was delicious finish to the meal.
Will definitely be returning
My regular lunch spot with my mum, had a delicious lunch, nice coffee and some me time, really enjoy coming here service and food is superb!

Well another visit to SQ. The for was superb as was the service and although I manage to visit a couple of times a year the hospitality is incredible from everyone. So SQ in my book has it all, best in class

Clean happy fantastic staff and food was great.
Popped in for lunch and decided to try something merging different so we had the pasta with pea and mint , which was the filling of the day. It was absolutely delicious!! Not something that I would have tried ordinarily but so glad I did and would definitely recommend ! Staff were as usual very accommodating and friendly and have the excuse that I would like to try the other fillings that they do so of course have to go back !
Favourite restaurant I’ve ever been to. If you love seafood the muscles are for you. Tried the Mariniere sauce with them and it was so good I was spooning it out of the pot.
Crème brûlée for dessert which was really tasty but who has crème brûlée without shortbread 😭

Having read a positive review in our holiday accommodation we were tempted to try SQ Bar & Restaurant. We were not disappointed really pleasant ,enjoyable place. The food and menu choice was delicious, welcoming and efficient. Highly recommend it for a great meal out with friends.
Fabulous place to eat its spotlessly clean and great friendly service. The food is amazing and cooked to perfection and large portion sizes. We went when it was extremely busy and we didn't have to wait long for the food. I give this place a five star rating it's excellent 👌

Amazing service and food as always. came on Sunday without booking, thought we'll chance it. And they found us a table without problem! Orders came fast and as always delicious. We had pizzas for kids, super salad with smoked salmon and mussels, followed by sticky toffee puddings, ice creams and sorbets. All very tasty!
Went for breakfast was absolutely delicious, the staff were polite and attentive without hovering which was lovely. Definitely going again soon.
The food and service were both fantastic. The portion sizes were just right, my 17 year old struggled to finish his Pizza.

We had the best Sunday dinner here, I’m dubious about eating a roast out as the meat can be questionable and the vegetables generally taste mass cooked and tasteless. However the food and the service were impeccable.
Thank you for making our holiday Sunday special. We may even consider driving up from Somerset just for this roast.
Had a nice evening at SQ with my wife. Started with Mushroom Soup (of the day), and Beef Chilli Nachos. Followed by Mussels in White Wine Sauce and Tomato and Basil Risotto. Generally good service and food. Mushroom soup was “Amazing” I was told.
Minus 1 star for for the beef chilli Nachos. Lacking in depth of flavour and richness. Could do with being slow cooked in a better quality sauce.
Managed to accommodate our group of 9 on the busy bank holiday weekend and the waitresses were lovely. Hake and fish of the day was amazing, spot on! Raspberry cheesecake was top stuff! Everyone was happy with their meal!
Super kind and attentive waitress serving us tonight (07.19) our special requests weren't a problem. we didn't have a booking but they had space for us. Love the atmosphere of the place. Food was good too. Safe eating out experience

Was greeted by a man in a waistcoat who was sympathetic to our situation and found us a table in the bar
The menu was a little limited but we both found something to eat which was served promptly and with a smile and was excellent.
Happy to recommend and would return, but would book next time.
