Warm welcome. Friendly, helpful staff Great accommodation ,best complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate & biscuits ever & also the biggest fluffiest towels! The food was amazingly good & reasonably priced,as were the rooms! Breakfast was included in room rate & it was superb. A friendly pub, where children & dogs were welcomed & a varied client all made for a pleasant stay. Nothing not to like here & we would recommend a visit Thanks to all the lovely staff ....much appreciated 10/10

Arrived late and booked only 20 mins online before we arrived. The level of service was excellent. We had a meal with our two children and was lovely 😊. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was to die for! We have added it to our favourite list! Thank you for having us!

We followed one of the Rutland walks yesterday and ended at The Old Plough for lunch. It was a lovely country pub, complete with log fire, perfect for lunch after a walk. The bar had guest ales and cider and a lovely lunch menu. Our food was spot on, tasty and generous portion sizes. Can't recommend this place highly enough, looking forward to a return visit!

Have visited, and stayed the night twice. The first was just after the new owners took over. And the second was this week. Our first visit was great, proper pub atmosphere, great selection of food and drink and good comfortable rooms. On our most recent visit, it was even better. The menu has been refined to some really tasty pub classics, which are boosted by the fantastic specials board. The pub had a roaring fire to keep us warm during storm Doris. And the restaurant hosted a well attended (and contested) pub quiz - accompanied by a curry!. Stayed in a different room this time. A few refurbishments have been made, carpets, towels and linen all feel very high quality. The room was very clean and comfortable. As my wife is currently on crutches, the landlord immediately switched us the disabled-access room. Wide doors and a wet room were much appreciated! Would highly recommend! We will be back as soon as the new Korean BBQ is up and running! Can't wait!

Stayed here for a night for a family wedding, and was pleasantly surprised. We had a family room for us and our two children and were given the Osprey room . It was a lovely spacious, modern room, and extremely clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our evening meal there was superb too. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting comfort and quality without being overly expensive.

This is a lovely old pub which offers good food and comfortable accommodation. The rooms are not large but perfectly adequate and the breakfast menu is varied. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the place is clean and well kept with plenty of on site parking space. Would definitely stay here again.

A lovely old pub deep in the countryside. Quality food at reasonable prices, and a good selection of beers and wines. Good enclosed garden area. The conservatory dining area is particularly pleasant, as is the cosy bar. Lovely accommodation facilities with great breakfast. Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Staff will put a ramp on the conservatory entrance for wheelchair access to conservatory and toilets. Outside toilets also wheelchair accessible.
