Yet another excellent bargain lunch at the Axe. For £9.99 each, prawn salad starters, then small chicken and bacon pie for me and scampi and chips for my wife. Unbeatable...

I had the roast chicken and Debs had the beef.
Both were absolutely outstanding,roast potatoes were perfect more needed though
The desserts were a match for the mains.
All in all one of the best we've ever had.
Pre ordered group booking. Good food, served promptly and together.

My partner had the vegan meatless ball with couscous, again excellent. Finished with vegan apple pie and custard.

Nice local pub in a quiet spot, with outdoor seating at the rear of the property.
Menu / food was good and served to a high finish. Marked 4/5 stars as we went midweek (only 4-5 tables were occupied) but got the impression they were short staffed / stressed by the volume.
Great food and lovely old fashioned type pub with plenty of history.

Nice little village pub, very friendly bar lady who was helpful and polite, you can sit inside or they have benches out the front and also an area out the back you can sit in.

Situated in a picturesque village, there is a car park at the side. There is a good welcome, and the pub is clean, and comfortable. We had a fantastic experience last night booked a table for 4 the landlord was so friendly couldn’t do enough for us , the meals were homemade and delicious and a good price highly recommend . We had a big round table by the log burner so cosy.
What a fantastic restaurant we popped in on the off chance for Sunday dinner yesterday and the food was very very good, some of the best roast beef I have ever had. Also the deep fried brie starter was exceptional . All the staff were very friendly and polite. Will be there almost every Sunday from

At last we have found a pub which serves a good range of vegan mains and deserts. The cheesecake was delicious. Will definitely be returning to sample the rest of the vegan options .
What a proper little gem. A picturesque little cottage with welcoming and polite staff and beautiful home cooked food. A great selection of food and drinks and an outdoor bar.
Visited on a Sunday had a lovely roast plus other things from the menu all really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful too. A really nice place for a drink and food.
Lovely location in a village.food excellent .service pleasent.plenty of parking .toilets clean.we had prawns in garlicand chili with fresh bread.deep fried brie not greasy .sasauge 2 fried eggs .chips.
Sausage salad poach eggs.fodant choc with ice cream.and it oozed with choc sauce.we will be back.
