Lovely lunchtime food . Three of us had baked potatoes 1with cheese and beans and 2 with tuna mayo. The salad was beautiful, the potatoes were really nice but not enough filling in all of them. We had to eat half of them with no filling left and were very dry

They serve a lovely dinky cute Mac Cheese. Good parking.
Visited today as we had 30% off food vouchers and 2 4 1 drinks vouchers. We have passed this pub many times but never went in, now wish we hadn't waited so long. The food was really nice, the drinks were perfect and the staff were the nicest I have come across.

Came for lunch with my mam, we both got the lighter lunch portions.
Mam had Hunters chicken. I had the Lentil Chilli.
We arrived for opening at 12pm and the meals arrived in good time from being ordered.
Mam enjoyed her Hunters Chicken, it was a little tough but I think the sauce/cheese made up for that.
My lentil chilli was nice, the portion of chilli was a little on the smaller side compared to the rice and tortillas. It wasn’t spicy so would be suitable for someone who doesn’t like spice. I have a wheat, dairy and egg intolerance which was noted on the order, although ‘wheat’ was noted as ‘gluten’ - which is a little different (I can eat gluten). A little while after eating I experienced some stomach discomfort, which I’m guessing could of been something like dextrose (which is gluten free but not wheat free). It wasn’t a full on intolerance I had as I would of been poorly for weeks instead of having an uncomfortable tummy for a couple of hours.
All in all, it was a good lunch, I would return but try something else from an intolerance point of view.
Loos/bathroom seemed like they could of done with a bit more of a clean - a bit dusty and grimy in places, but looked smart upon entering.
One to bear in mind if you’re in the area.
We've been here a few times before but only ever to have drinks while watching the football. We decided to try it out for food as the facilities are nice clean and the staff are always polite and friendly. Our was food was nice and arrived within a reasonable amount of time from ordering, all hot and decent sized portions. Our desserts were incredible!
The Newton Grange has an immaculate atmosphere and spectacular service.
I would like leave a special acknowledgement to Katie. She acted in a very professional manner whilst also making the Grange feel like a very friendly and hospitable environment.
I would definitely recommend going if you have not been before and definitely will consider returning in the future.
We held our first PTA quiz at the Newton Grange recently and the staff couldn’t have been more lovely and helpful! They went out of their way to accommodate us, responded really quickly to messages and questions and helped the night run really smoothly. There was a great atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and the food all looked great coming out. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!
This was all of our first time visiting and it was lovely. Great service, amazing food and it was also very quick and reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning, everyone enjoyed it. Not one complaint from 8 of us.
Lovely pub with a great atmosphere and staff are a credit to the business. Our waitress danielle was so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us! Highly recommend
I think the food is good and great value for money, plenty of choice on the menu and seems to host a few events for Halloween, etc.
I love this place. Great staff and I have to say that twice. The staff are amazing!. I’d love to give 5 stars but only 4 because the menu could be better from the point of view that the old high tens replacement is not as nice and chicken wings are not as nice as they used to be. The staff have no say in this matter. Mars tons do. Other than that the food is great, particularly the curry’s offered on curry night and the hand made pizzas are amazing especially as we have to get the gluten free option. Not many places do that. So glad that this my local pub.

Had a lovely meal this evening, good food and good service. Only this needs to improve, as we went out to the car, very dark, no car par lighting, and the steps were dark too.
After a long day at work I decided to drop into the newton grange for a burger and some loaded fries. It was a quiet sunny evening and the lady behind the bar was very hospitable on taking my order. The order arrived shortly after and to my suprise the meal was spectacular, it turned my day right back around. Thank you to the chef (Ali) who was very generous with the topping on the loaded fries and a very messy burger (the good kind). Happy customer.
Young gentleman behind the bar was so welcoming and kind, quick, polite and very professional. I’d definitely visit again after a warm and welcome visit. Food was amazing!
We love the Newton Grange, it is just on our doorstep and is a family friendly pub. Katie is so friendly and always has a smile on her face. She is amazing with our two girls, they absolutely love her.
