We eat at The Crown at least once a week. The food is consistently amazing and varied and all the staff are wonderful. Ben, the manager is fantastic. My son has a fatal egg allergy and Ben makes ordering his food so simple and safe. We highly recommend eating at The Crown.
This is a friendly and and light pub with a good range of food and a large beer garden. It was our local for a week, worth a visit.
Throughly enjoyable evening at the Crown for the 80's night. The food was excellent as always, hot, tasty and well cooked. The service was slightly slower than normal but fully understandable due to a large party of 30 and a live music event. It didn't spoil our evening one bit, as we played name that tune whilst enjoying our drinks. Debbie our waitress, was wonderful, she was friendly, polite and attentive. She also explained the delay with our food and served it promptly when the kitchen team had cleared the backlog. Thanks Team Crown!

Being one of the busiest times, Boxing Day Lunchtime - the service was fantastic and the food lovely. Mat served our table and was brilliant and so too the Manager.
Really nice environment, both in and outdoor seating available, plenty of separate spaces inside to have a more private area, would recommend booking in advance. Food was really tasty and the honey pot pudding was very intriguing but delicious! Has its own car park at the front of the building.
Great pub on the edge of the New Forest. Sign up on the app in advance and get money off your first meal. Quiz night was popular and the server was lovely. The pub is really dog friendly. So happy this is my local now.
We were staying locally and we were recommended The Crown for our evening meal. We booked in advance and also checked if the pub was dog friendly, which it was. We all sat in a designated area for dog owners which has bowls of water and treats for your dog. I chose the fish and chips which was a generous portion of freshly battered haddock, chunky chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce. The service was very friendly and efficient. A great meal was had by all. There is a lovely garden area to sit outside on summer evenings.
Great bar/restaurant with lovely staff and reasonably priced food.
The tables are set out in small alcoves which is perfect for someone with hearing issues as noise doesn’t travel throughout the restaurant.
Nice decor perfect for the location and there is also a large beer garden.
The food quality matches the price and there is a good selection on the menu.
A couple of our party had fish which was over done, the waitress acknowledged and resolved the issue quickly. The other 6 dishes were lovely.

Love this pub. Everything was 10 of 10: the service, chilling atmosphere, the food… The bonus is that this place has plenty of parking spaces and easy access. Lovely place, and with festive season arriving the decorations were cosy and gave off a really nice atmosphere. The food was amazing as always, and really lovely staff, both Karen and Amy, ready to help and gave off positive energy throughout our time. Overall a really friendly and enjoyable evening meal out. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our visit to The Crown, having moved nearby we were keen to check out local establishments. We prebooked (via their website) and our waitress was really welcoming and helpful. The food was great, and we also enjoyed the house soda and alcohol free lagers as well. Too much lovely food on the menu, so we will need to go back another time👍
We had such an enjoyable evening, the food was quite nice , service was quite slow at the start of the evening but the shining star of the evening was Lisa, our waitress. Lisa worked hard all evening, nothing was too much bother and through it all she was kind and polite. Lisa did not stop all evening and made us feel very comfortable, thank you Lisa 😍
We went whilst on holiday at the CAMC nearby and we were not disappointed. The kids had pizza and me and the Mrs had the signature burger, which was absolutely fantastic! For pudding we had Eaton mess and the honey pot, which were lovely and surprisingly big portions, the kids had ice cream and a lolly. This is the second pub we had tried in the area and were initially put off by the 4.2 / 5 review, but it is not deserved. The food, service and atmosphere were all lovely.
Food was amazing. Very friendly staff. Really nice inside, large dinning area with lovely oak beams everywhere. Sun was out so the garden was great for the children and dogs. Enjoyed it so much we returned the following day.
Soft drinks were a bit pricey...
Been here a few times, the foods always been great although wasn’t as good this time around. There’s a decent beer garden here. Staff are friendly.

Plenty of outside seating in the sun, nice traditional country pub inside.
The Fish and chips, Trio roast and kids meals were all delicious and all plates were left empty!

A very friendly pub in the New Forest. We all decided on Fish finger sandwiches, which were served on ciabata with a tartare sauce filling, with chips, it was superb, very reasonably priced.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient.
We would definitely recommend a visit.

Fabulous from the second you walk through the door :) Plenty of easy access parking leads into a nice reception area. The decor is a fresh traditional contemporary style which I like alot. The barstaff greeted with a warm and freindly smile and were helpful with drinks choices. The restraurant area is well laid out with a good mixture of tables for two, four, six and eight and our group of three were shown to a decent sized table for four.
Charlie waited our table was polite, patient, very well versed with the menu and a joy to interact with. I wouldn't normally mention someone by name or go home and write a review straight away but felt compelled we were so impressed.
The menu has enough choice to cater for modern dietary requirements with alot of it tailorable for intolerances and a separate card with all Vegetarian and Vegan options. It is not so large that it provokes confusion or indecisiveness.
I was straight up really surprised at the standard of the food that arrived, I was expecting chain pub churned out grub and was presented with the best home cooked classy food that I have eaten in quite a while. Between us we had all three courses and sides and there was nothing put on the table that did not wow us.
Don't tell them too loudly but the price was extremely reasonable as well proving that you can deliver special for pub grub money. I am glad we live nearby so we can take advantage of this place again.
It was quite busy but not to worry as the lovely Lyn found us a table 😊 The food was amazing especially the buttermilk chicken burger definitely recommend!!! Karen and all the staff were so welcoming and happy to help!! WE WILL definitely be returning!! Best Vintage inn, in the area ❤️
Really lovely pub we came here for dinner on a recent family trip. The pub is beautiful it has a lovely inviting atmosphere. The staff were lovely and friendly we had a fantastic waitress Karen. I had the beef rib it was delicious and might be worth the 1.5hr drive just to have it again 🙈
