Surpassed expectations! It’s rare that we stay in one location whilst travelling just because the food is excellent, on this occasion we did. Our meal, service and experience at the Three Tuns was sooo good our onward plans were changed. The Scallops in Pernod butter sauce starter was sublime, so too the catch of the day 🐟 followed by α superb cheese 🧀 board. I tried a couple of the real ales, both were top notch. Steve and the team provide a great rural ambiance in this quant extended thatched cottage.

Very nice food, service was good until after our dishes were taken and we then waited 20 minutes for a desert menu by which time we had gone off the idea of a desert. Service needs to be good from start to finish.

Came to this restaurant for a birthday meal, on a recommendation from a work friend. In a lovely village location. The restaurant was very busy and seems very popular. It would be nice to have a little more space between you and your fellow diners. The staff were very friendly, and mine, my husband and my one sons meal choices were really tasty and well cooked, and very enjoyable. Unfortunately my youngest sons meal choices were not as good, his soup had split and he had been hoping for a nice piece of crackling on his pork, but it was more chewy and gelatinous. Overall though a pleasant experience and would go again, probably not on a Sunday when I am guessing lots of people are looking for a good place to have their Sunday roast dinner.

Lovely country pub with a good drinks selection, great atmosphere and spacious terrace as well as a garden. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

I have eaten at the Three Tuns in Bransgore on many occasions. It is a really nice place to bring family and friends for a meal and a drink. There is a great selection of food on the menu to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. There is an extensive drinks menu as well. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and appear to genuinely want their guests to have a great dining experience. I would recommend the Three Tuns and will dine there again. It is a popular venue so consider booking a table in advance.

Very friendly accommodating staff. Bit chilly with the doors open! Very popular with the locals which says a lot. Sports TV on which some will think is a plus - I do not! I want to enjoy my meal without big screens in front of me. Good good. Would go again and sit away from TV if I could!

Really great meal, clearly popular as it was busy and service very friendly - we hadn’t booked but arrived early so managed to sit at a table reserved for later on the understanding we had to be done in a couple of hours. We just about did it and the next table had arrived before we left but we were never made to feel rushed. Lovely pudding options and yummy roast which only loses one star because there was roast potatoes and mash where I’d prefer to have swede or parsnip rather than more potato - but that’s personal preference and wouldn’t stop me going again! Good for the doggo too 👍

This place was highly recommended for food so we had high expectations. The menu was a approaching high-end , but the food itself was well done. The location is a little outside of Christchurch so you may stuggle with a taxi home (as we did). The pub is pictureque and cosy (winter time). This is a beer drinker's pub with a wide selection of ales - I didn't try any as managed to only drink wine (my error) which was sensibly priced. The atmosphere is more suited to a quiet romantic or family dinner - the vibe isn't quite right for a younger or party crowd. I do recommend and will look-forward to returning perhaps in the summer.
