A surprise special birthday party for my wife.
Arrangements made in advance by my daughter for the function room and catering were very simple. On the day, the room was available for decorating and looked fantastic.
The food was excellent and plentiful for our party. The bar service in the room was brilliant, and the staff were professional and friendly.
Our guests and ourselves travelled a distance to this venue as we have always wanted to visit. The parking was more than adequate for everyone.
We then stayed in the pub for an evening meal with some of our guests. The vegan choices were delicious and very reasonably priced.
I would highly recommend this venue for the function room or the pub as the staff made us feel very welcome.
Nice range of drinks and good food. A little bit pricey but you would expect that due to the location and overall experience.
Only issue was the steak was overcooked. They did offer to replace but it was easier to eat it as wife would have finished eating, however they removed from the bill without any issues.
I would recommend overall.
Took some friends for lunch, lovely day so sat outside. 2 of us had the no leaf salad, the other the Korean chicken & shared the halloumi fries. It was nice, the chicken was a bit dry but the fries were lovely. I’d go again.
We have been visiting the Fox every Friday afternoon for the last 18 months and have always had a pleasant visit. The county Pub welcoming, clean and nicely decorated.
Service is always very good, unrushed and the staff friendly and helpful, Thanks especially to Karen
Food choice is varied and good quality, Halloumi Fries and a side salad not to be missed.
Lovely food served by lovely staff. Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Our waitress Lily was attentive and smiley. The new manageress brought our drinks to us and made time to talk which was nice.
Overall a great meal and we will most certainly be back!
Popped in as we was passing the place after a drive out. Definitely recommend. Food plentiful & delicious. Serve 10 out 10. Thank you to the 2 ladies who served us for all their help & patience.
I came in this evening for dinner for my birthday and could not fault a thing! The food was everything I wanted it to be, and the best thing by far was the amazing customer service! Our waitress Lily was welcoming and polite my whole visit and took good care of our group! All I can say is the new GM surely knows what she’s doing and will definitely be returning soon!
Main courses lovely and most people in the group enjoyed their desserts.
Unfortunately I had the salted caramel sundae which I really didn't enjoy. The cream onto was too much maybe a lighter cream would be better and some more of the caramel sauce as there wasn't much in the dessert at all.
We were a table of 10 but the wait between the mains and the desserts was quite long. Staff were lovely and friendly

Seven of us called today for quick snack as we were eating later in our hotel.
Six of us ordered the garlic mushroom starter and one had the burger.
We were so impressed with the quality of the food, the pleasant and efficient service especially by Grace, our young waitress, that we wished that we had not booked our evening meal at our hotel so that we could return later.
There’s such a friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced food and drink and nothing was too much trouble.
How I wish we had a pub like this as our local in Stoke. Thank you and if we’re ever passing again we’ll definitely call again.
Fantastic evening with friends. Food came quickly and was well presented. Chicken was slightly tough but not enough to have said anything. Service was top notch. 10/10.
We met as a family for lunch and were treated as if we were regular visitors. The staff on duty, Karen and Matt, were really great, chatty but not too chatty and made sure we had everything we needed! Will definitely call again, when we are next in the area.
Lovely food, great service and pleasant environment. Sat outside on a lovely sunny afternoon. Service was efficient and food as good as I have had for the price. My husband had steak and ale pie and I had the no leaf salad plus sides delicious.
Finally got to eat at this lovely country inn we've passed for a fair few years. Service was spot on and the food was delicious. We will be calling again!
Good food , service was acceptable . Drinks order took a little while and was wrong. The Sunday roast was nice and hot on arrival. Tasty food.
