Both the B&B and the pub are amazing! Beautiful room, delicious food (loved the full English breakfast, the Sunday carvery, and all the other meals. Their sausage is some of the best I’ve had, and we tried many different items from the menu and all were delicious!), and a great selection of ales and other beers, rotating often to provide the opportunity to try many different and amazing beers. Plus the service was excellent...always friendly and helpful, and trying to ensure you are well cared for. The owners Steve and Chris made us feel welcome and at home from the minute we arrived through the moment we left. Both the nicest, friendliest, personable and genuine guys you could ever meet. And on top of that I made some great new friends there who all welcomed me as if I’ve known them my entire life. Such a great pub. I highly recommend it! Can’t wait to return someday!

Stayed for one night, nice warm room with plenty of space, the breakfast was excellent. We also had an evening meal, the food was also very good, the lamb rump was cooked to perfection. The jolly farmer is a proper pub with great staff, a good selection of beers and a pub atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay.

Have eaten in here a few times and the food has always been top draw, my wife was upset last night that they had run out of the mackerel pate so had the cauliflower and cheese soup instead, her disappointment didn’t last long, the soup was amazing, I had garlic prawns and we both had a burger which is one of the best in the county. Great staff, great service, great pub and very reasonably priced, the only disappointment for me was that I was full up and didn’t have room for a pudding.......

Gorgeous pub with amazing hanging baskets, lots of antiques, homemade food, the smoked mackerel pate is to die for. Excellent carvery but be aware the meat starts to run out at 2pm. Beer garden at the back and great service!

Wonderful lunch today for my dads 72nd birthday. Fantastic carvery, really tasty, and really nice chicken burger. Lovely friendly staff, and the sticky toffee pudding went down well. Only criticism would be to make the cheese board a bit smaller. ..cheese to biscuits size mismatched but thanks to a doggy bag we will have a tasty supper. Excellent value for money, will definitely be going back if only to try their 10 different gin menu out.

No need to go remotely hungry with their yummy Sunday carvery, nor thirsty with the impressive range of ales and other brews. Heavingly busy (partly because of the rugby, but coping admirably) so obviously the place to go for those in the know!

Recently attended the British Motor Show for 5 days as a trader, staying at a another local pub in Bramley, which did not do food in the evening. We tried the Jolly Farmer and ate hear for three of our four nights. It would have been four, but they could not fit us in on one night! Fabulous food, good beers and excellent service. A lovely country pub which we would highly recommend.

Staying locally and this is the best pub in the area by miles. 6 real ales on hand pump, some local and a few further afield. Lovely ambience with loads of old brewery memorabilia and pump clips. I recommend the beef and mushroom pie with proper shortcrust pastry. A real gem of a pub that you don’t see much of these days.

Had a quick overnight stay here. Staff super friendly, helpful and professional on arrival. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and well appointed overall. Wi-Fi worked well too. Didn't get a chance to sample drinks/food from the pub but the bar/restaurant area looked clean, well laid out and a nice atmosphere when I went through.

What a jolly pub! The work that has gone into this place, the love and the look, all say what a great atmosphere. We visited when there was a carvery. Superb. Everyone felt a part of the team and the food and choice of ales was amazing. I'd give it more than 5 stars. Go see for yourself. By the way, there is a small car park to the rear of the pub, but there's plenty of parking options nearby as well.

Called in for a pint following walk on old railway line. Excellent choice of ales. Friendly staff. Beware of man in duck suit selling raffle tickets. Lovely old fashioned pub with wonky floors.

An unplanned stop after a long walk with the dogs around Blackheath Common turned our to be a fanstastic lunch. Dogs were cared for with fresh water, treats, and cuddles. And we had delicious fish and chips and nut roast, with a lovely looking and tasting Pimms. A place to return to more often. PS: Sunday roast must be booked for in advance. I was lucky to get the nut roast
