We had a very nice meal here. The starters were all really good. I definitely recommend the pasta fries. The Rustic pizzas were delicious and all baked fresh in a wood fired oven. The salted caramel cheesecake was nice, but very very sickly, to the point it would be better to share, and I wouldn't normally say that about a dessert! The only small gripe is we had to flag someone down to order some more drinks and waited some time to do so. But on the whole would definitely recommend and would return.
Great food, didn't wait too long for starters or main dish. Service was a bit unsure whether to come to us or if we were using the app but our table was not in the app so we couldn't use it.
Very good service, had the antipasto garlic bread special starter which was epic. The herb crusted rolled pork belly with very good as well. They cater very well for people that are gluten free.
The food was good, a separate vegan menu with 2 or 3 starters and mains to choose from. Also some dessert options. The bruschetta was especially nice. The decor was interesting and felt cosy.
My only problem was how little staff they had. There was at least 12 tables and only 2 floor staff. One of which was the barmaid. I think only two in the kitchen as well. Although we didn't have to wait long for our food, we did have to for the bill. In the end I had to go up and intercept her. This was a weeknight so I appreciate its going to be quieter than a weekend but clearly they need one extra person.
Solid establishment, good quality bricks supporting the door frame which allowed for a smooth entry. Table made if decent quality mahogany wood and coasters were provided for drinks so it didn't leave a mark on the varnish which would have been a shame as someone clearly worked hard putting 14 coats of varnish on. Chairs had sturdy metal frame which supported me well and kept me upright whilst eating. All in all not a bad place.

Really friendly service and were very apologetic for being understaffed however I didn't think the wait times were so bad and they were all very professional. Food was quite good however some dressing or side salad with the Calzone would be good. Would return, makes a good pairing with a visit to the cinema. *not keen on the wooden 'plank' plates they used as they were split and very scratched...can't be easy to clean...*
I was very impressed by our waitress (Molly) she was attentive and bubbly, the food and the cocktails were great!!

Well, I can say Zizi is one of my favourite. I Aldgate enjoy coming here, not the specific from Braintree we’re this photos we’re been made, but all of them are great, including the staff! Well done to the owner and all the management team. Hope the management treat you well for the services you give back to the customers. Thank you, indeed.
