Probably the most welcoming publican I have had the pleasure of meeting in a long while. A table for nine with six different choices of main meal ordered and all agreed that their food was excellent. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble.
Was meeting a friend for Sunday lunch and had the pleasure of choosing the Hare and Hounds to attend.
The place is under new management and what pleasant management that is. From entry very friendly staff getting drinks and throughout the meal. There is a large dining area indoors and a very large area outside. We had the Sunday roast and it was plentiful and delicious. Can highly recommend this place.
Come here for some live music twice over the last two weeks and a bite to eat, it turnt into my local pub now! It’s child friendly with a good playground for 3+ a friendly service with a team that can’t do enough for their customers. And generally a really good vibe. Spoke to the lady at the bar that said it’s under new management and although some changes and refurbishments are under way. It’s a pub I see going in the right direction! I look forward to the future of the last two weeks is anything to go by!
Our family booked this place to have a family wake, and I have to say the staff were wonderful and really made the afternoon perfect. The pub has a beautiful country look about it and has some very pretty views. The food spread that was laid on was very nice, and there was lots of variety.
My daughter was the only child present (2 years of age) and the staff were fantastic with her, letting her play with balloons and making her a non alcoholic cocktail, even put on the TV for her when she was getting tired. Would definitely recommend it.
A bit more out of the way makes this a quiet pub for an evening drink. Friendly service and a nice place. Will sample the food some time.
We approached these guys for our Mother's Wake and couldn't have been more grateful for Everything they did for us it was a fantastic send off with flowers photos music and food they did it all all reasonably priced as well.
We stopped by this lovely little pub on the off chance after my Uncle’s funeral at the Three Counties Crematorium up the road. We hadn’t booked anything as it was a sort of unofficial wake, but there were quite a few of us. As soon as we arrived we were taken care of. We were seen to a quiet area of the pub by a very friendly barmaid. She took our drinks order and returned regularly to check on us. We were also greeted by the landlord who was friendly and welcoming. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and I am so very grateful. The food was lovely (we had some delicious pizzas) and the atmosphere was wonderful. It made a difficult day much, much brighter. Thank you.
We went to The Hare & Hounds today for a Sunday roast and cannot recommend it enough. Welcoming atmosphere with great service and the food is just amazing. In fact one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had in a restaurant. So tasty, great presentation and plenty of it. If you haven’t visited since the pub has been under new management then you need to, you won’t be disappointed. We’re already planning our next visit. Thanks guys!
A big thank u to the hare & hounds. Had my wife’s wake here on the 24th of January and I was very impressed. My wife and myself was in the trade for a lot of years and I know a good pub when I see one. Also the young lady serving us was outstanding. Keep up the good work… 👍
It's a nice enough place but needs to improve on the service waited 2 hours for meal to arrive but very friendly place
Absolutely fab! Lovely staff, and amazing food that was really great value. We had a fantastic meal and felt really welcome. Thank you.
Very friendly, went out of the way, to assist outside a disabled lady, even escorted her to the dining area, thank you.
Food was top marks, lots of home made, & generous portions traditional Sunday roast, is a must,

Came across this little gem yesterday and stopped for lunch. We had the chicken and chorizo sandwich which also came with chips. Bloody amazing flavours and it was absolutely delicious. The barman was so nice, welcoming and friendly. Lovely decor and outside seating area. Will definitely be returning for dinner and drinks. Thank you
Large room, smallish bar, large selection of beers on tap. Outdoor space to the rear with table and chairs.
