I am from North London but live in Germany. This was my first Pie and Mash in 2 years thanks to covid and how nice it was too my mum is a cockney and grew up on Manzes in Walthamstow and they didnt disappoint here in Braintree. Fod was delicious and the service was proper friendly and the lady working there was fantastic. If you like Pie and Mash this is a good one!

This restaurant is a Pie and Mash Shop. It is situated on Braintree High Street. It has a famous name "Manze's" which has been going for at least 100 years. The pies are well known throughout the country.
There is no parking on the High Street that I could see. It is well worth visiting. It is done out like a Pie and Mash shop of long ago. They also sell jellied eels. Prices are very good not high.

Hands down best pie and mash shop and I'm very fussy and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming!!! I highly recommend people go in here and try there great pie and mash :)
