Really quite good all round. Having used Toby sparingly over the years, the food and service had always been ropey but this was such a step up. The food was not overcooked. Service was there when needed. I would happily return here!
Only down side really is not being able to heat the food up a bit more with a microwave. Appreciate it can't be kept piping hot in the serving area for various reasons including the simple fact the food would dry out but the ability to be able to heat it up a bit more, a standard 1 minute setting i

Food was great, selection was good although they had run out of gammon. The staff were amazing and working really really hard as it was very busy. I think that more staff being on duty would've made for happier customers and staff. Customers were having to chase staff members to pay as they were so
As you enter your the staff are quick to find a table for you if it's not to busy and your seated and asked what you'd like to drink.
Once you've done that you go for your food and it's easy to have eyes bigger than your belly. Staff come and check to make sure all is OK and also ask before you go u
This was the second time we were in and I must say the service was excellent.
I made sure we were served by the same waitress Lynn...I was so pleased to see that she was working.
Although she did have so many other customers she made us feel special.
Must recommend the "pigs" as she called them..pig
Decent food at decent prices. If you don't like veggies then don't have veggies. Plenty of meat and Yorkshire puddings to fill up on instead. Staff were really friendly and helpful at the Braintree restaurant.
Lovely staff. Very helpful: couldn’t do more to help us (turned the air conditioning on while it was hot, gave us extra ice, etc., explained how to order). Fantastic, professional, very welcoming. Lovely, lovely people.

Lynne was fantastic. So obviously happy in her work and so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. You can see she is very popular with all the guests. She works so hard.

Have been meaning to try here for ages. Was worth the wait. The food was delicious. I would have gone back for more potatoes, if not full up. Very reasonable prices, very hard working staff. Definitely going back!
All the staff were very friendly. Great service. The food was great and the drinks were on the table when we got back from getting our food. We were not rushed out of the door.
It was extremely busy but our waitress Lynn was so pleasant and always apologising for not getting to us quick enough! But quite frankly we didn't care because she looked so rushed off her feet we felt sorry for her. She said she loves to get to know her customers and have a chat which we thought
Lynn my server was absolutely fabulous, not just with me but all the table I saw her serve. I work in the trade and I was great to see someone so good with all the customers of all ages, you can tell she really cares.

Excellent experience. We arrived twenty minutes early and they looked on the system for empty tables and seated us straight away.
Took drinks orders and asked about extras within five minutes of sitting. Great food. Fresh. Staff that we came in to contact with us polite friendly and efficient
