Had a fabulous meal yesterday, fantastic quality and value for money and dog friendly. Even did a doggie sausage on the menu we our dog loved. Lovely garden area. Highly recommended 😊

We came around two weeks ago with a gigantic table and were given our own little section to sit in, the staff did really well with serving (especially as some members of the group didn’t remember what they had etc). They were patient with us and everyone got what they asked for. There was a good selection of drinks to choose from at the bar and the atmosphere was good. I hope we weren’t too loud or annoying to look after- big thanks to the team

Great pub with plenty of choice for beer. At the time of our visit they had a Bradfields Brown Cow and a Sharps Solar Wave IPA and both well kept. The food was good value, well cooked and served quickly. Interesting specials board, I mean where else would you see a Pheasant Curry on the menu? I just had to have it and it was great, served with rice and a large nan bread. The puddings looked great but I didn't have the room for one, but I will have one the next time we visit.

The room ( no 2, twin) very clean, spacious. The bathroom again clean, all one would need. My only minor gripe would be in the shower there is no tray for one's shower gels etc. The staff were young ( nothing wrong with that, they have to start somewhere and they're local) were friendly and pleasant. I've lived and worked in hospitality in the area in the past, the location is excellent ( on the main route out of Castleton towards Sheffield, about 3 miles away)) without paying Castleton prices, very good value for money. It's a dog friendly venue. The public areas are also clean, spacious modern. Large car park and grounds. To add to this a mention about a member of staff Samuel, seems to be there morning noon and night. Sound bloke, plus he helped me out with checking out ( turned out my pin number was locked 🤦 Will certainly return.

Stopped off here for a well needed rest and bite to eat whilst doing a 20 odd mile hike around the peaks. Seated straight away, staff very friendly and not too long a wait for food. Cheese and onion omelette was delicious 😋

8 of us plus a high chair stopped by for a meal and it was absolutely beautiful . The food was lovely quality, would highly recommend. The staff are all friendly and very welcoming. Shame you can't book , but we were lucky that didn't matter. 5 stars.

Great pub with a nice beer garden and the kids play area is also very good. Plenty of beer choice. Food was good, we had a Sunday roast. Kids food was terrible. We ordered pizza and chips, the pizza was thick bready bought which was very dry and hard for a 3 year old to eat. Staff are very friendly.

Fantastic pub! I had planned a 3 day hike in the peaks and forgot to find parking... Popped in and asked if I could rent a space for a few days, I was told to leave my car in view of the cctv so they could keep am eye on it and there would be no charge! I came back and had a fantastic meal to end a fantastic trip! The staff were so kind, the food was excelent! And the atmosphere was really nice!

Really nice quite place to go for a pint and something to eat. The food was really nice and Guinness was spot on. Only 2 minute walk from the campsite we stayed at and was able to enjoy a few games of pool. Only downside service was alittle slow getting served at the bar thats the reason for the 4 stars apart from that highly recommend going here.
