Been meaning to try this place out, and glad I done it on my wife’s birthday! The food was amazing and a good verity of veg. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning! Possibly one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had

We had a great Sunday lunch here this week in a beautiful setting with really good service. The multi roast sharing menu was so generous, we needed a doggy bag. Oh, our two dogs were very welcome & enjoyed a snooze while we ate. Thankyou Hungry Bear 🐻 😁

We went to the Hungry Bear and it was overall a great experience! This was on a non-roast dinner day. Staff were very nice, friendly and attentive. The menu was limited but I understand a smaller menu allows for speed and quality fresh ingredients so I don't have a problem with that and I'm am not picky. It would of been nice to have an option of a steak that wasn't the tomahawk as this is meant for sharing and couldn't justify the £60 for myself. We had the burger that was really nice but maybe slightly on the dry side. I also ordered lobster tail and this is probably where this review went from 5 to 4 stars, they were very small, lacking meat and dry which was disappointing. Just not what I imagined when I ordered lobster tail. Overall was a nice experience and will definitely return to try again and also will try the roast.

Absolutely amazing. The food was well presented and cooked to perfection. Every mouthful was sensational and was like an explosion of taste on my tongue. Never have I ever eaten a roast dinner out that I have said I could not fault and is really good value for money, well Hungry Bear today is that day you quite simply blew me away. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and we were made to feel so welcome it was like we were regulars. The staff were so friendly and attentive and the quality of the food and drink was exceptional as well as extremely good value for money . Our waitress was so attentive and I highly recommend her as she genuinely cared about ensuring we were looked after and had a great deal of pride in doing her job well and I can’t not praise her enough (unfortunately I did not get her name our booking was in the name of Jeanette table for 2 @ 18:00 6/9/23). I will be recommending you to absolutely everyone and will be including a recommendation in our information pack in our rental property.

What a fantastic Sunday roast. We'll cooked meats and plenty of vegetables and gravy. Our first visit today but will definitely come again. Great service and good value too.
