Our trip to Regal Café occurred without hitch I’m afraid. Nice setting though, with its open and airy café style seating arrangement – as it turned out there was plenty of room around the tables for the smaller ones in our group to have a good roam around. I couldn’t really fault my experience, no booze at all either (note for future??) – Which usually, perhaps sometimes falsely, improves curry eating experiences!! Also, I thought the waiter was a little fussy because I ordered supposed ‘breakfast’ dishes – it was mid afternoon – and he seemed to take great pleasure in pointing this fact out??? No mention on the menu mind? I wondered if he’d heard of ‘All Day Breakfast’? My first (breakfast??) dish was Dahi Bhalay (Dahi Vada), apparently a very popular Lahore street food dish, and comprised a bowl containing a large soya dumpling covered in a yogurt curry sauce – very different to anything this BCC member has ever had before – very yogurty with only a hint of curry spice?? It did look like it should be eaten at breakfast it has to be said. It must be popular though because tubs of the stuff were available to purchase in the attached deli/shop – more of which later. For main I chose the Niharee, from the Regal Special, which was basically a lamb shank in a very thin curry sauce. Pretty authentic dish by all accounts, and quite different to the normal ‘British Curry’s’ we are used to I guess? The sauce was thin and quite mild tasting, but could be pepped up with the addition of fresh ginger, chilli and garam masala, which accompanied the main on a

Was recommended by someone to come try this place out... Ordered a jumbo mixed grill, lamb karahi, chicken karahi, naan/roti and some fries Mixed Grill contained 8 chicken tikka pieces, 4 mutton chops, 4 chicken wings, 2 meat sheekh kebabs, 2 chicken sheekh kebabs Mutton chops were nice and tasty, likewise the meat sheekh kebabs, the rest of the grill food was average taste wise. The chicken karahi had decent flavour and tasted lovely, but the highlight of the evening was the lamb karahi, meat was nice and tender and very flavoursome... Washed it all down with a desi tea at the end of the meal... All in all an enjoyable experience....

We ordered the mix grill starter, lamb Karahi, chicken karahi (half kg), chips and kulcha naans. For drinks we ordered the virgin mojitos. The food was absolutely delicious, the curry’s were the right amount of spices and the kulcha naans with the sesame seeds were some of the best naans I’ve had in any restaurant in the UK. The mojito was a bit sweet for my liking but nevertheless we still enjoyed it as it was refreshing.

Called in on a Sunday lunchtime just before they got really busy. Ordered 1/2 KG Tawa Keema which was fantastic. Absolutely loved this. Spicy, fresh coriander and chillies, simple but flavoursome. This half a kg felt like a huge portion considering what I had recently at Sultans earlier this week. The £10 keema portion was almost twice as much as I got for a large portion of chicken and lamb for £16 each at Sultans. Had this with tandoori roti and though I understand why Regals would use wholemeal/medium atta it wasn't as good as white atta. Gets a bit tough when not hot. Also ordered Samosa chaat. My personal preference is lots of freshly cut onions, tomatoes, cucumber and fresh mint and coriander on the samosa chaat which was lacking. I asked for no chutney for the kids but would have expected some plain yoghurt in its absence. Still tasted fine but felt it could have been better. About on par with Cafe Janaan who seem to claim theirs is world famous. The kids tried a chicken wrap between them but found it too spicy. Don't know why I haven't bothered trying Cafe Regal before but I will be back, especially for the lamb koftey I noticed on the menu. Not many places seem to serve these for some odd reason. Definitely good food and good value. Plenty of indoor, well spaced out seating. Staff were ok. One young lady looked after us very well. The lads were a bit casual, but still got the job done

Great place for a proper Pakistani breakfast. Portions are generous so don’t over order. We ordered halwa puri and channa. Along with haleem and a couple of naans, between two of us and struggled to finish - was really nice

I booked the room for a birthday party today, from the initial meeting to the actual party Manager Aleysha handled everything very professionally. The whole birthday party was perfect thanks to everything being very well organized by Aleysha and the waiter being so efficient. A really big personal thank you for ensuring the room set up, the food and the the customer service was 100%. I would definitely recommend to all my family and friends. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much. One very, very satisfied customer and a really big thank you from my boys and my whole family.

A decent breakfast in a good location and set-up. Was busy, service was good... Had the buffet and a generous serving of 3 Puries. Young Mario welcomed us with a warm smile... Quality of Desi Tea needs improving and Puries were a little on the oily side. Cash Only too, we had to bank transfer 😂

Tried this place first time when visiting Bradford. Firstly should have come earlier as it was completely packed and there were long queues. However the service is quick so the wait wasn’t too long. We had the breakfast buffet, the food was great but the chai was a disappointment. Frankly it should be included in the buffet which is generously priced. Overall good experience & visit recommended.

Tried it for the first time while visiting Bradford. Great taste, good fast service and freshly served breakfast. Good portion of 3 Puri + Halwa, but the Channae were a small portion could do with a bit more. Overall good experience for the family good seating and hygienic environment.

Halwas puri & channay was very nice - portions are huge - 1 between 2 is enough. Haleem was very flavourful and nice with fresh naan. Desi tea wasn’t sickening like other places - nice and light and comes with no sugar

The Desi breakfast I had at Cafe Regal was easily the best one that I had out of all of the places I visited during my stay in Bradford. Good quality, freshly prepared and an authentic taste and experience. Really pleased and highly recommend to those looking for a good Desi breakfast place in Bradford.
