Amazing traditional style food that not many places do anymore. Also left my wallet here with over £200 and picked it up the next day untouched. Thank you. Amazing food and brilliant staff. Highly recommend it!!
Thank you for making us feel so welcome last night, our first visit to a curry house in Bradford and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Efficient service, helpful staff, good food, and the bill was much less that we expected.
Best curry in Bradford- visit regularly and it never varies - good customer service - yum yum 👅
Fantastic curry and good customer service would recommend and come back
Great friendly service and delicious mutton masala and £55 for 6 of us! Oh, and the best lime pickle ever. What's not to like?
We have been going for years, as a group of mates, never disappointed, great staff and brilliant authentic Indian food
Amazing food...great service...top boss man.....always eat here....
Love their starters especially the mix one!! And most important thing is staff is very respecting and kind 👌🏻
Went for my first ever visit with friends on the 7th of october and left feeling more than satisfied, quite possibly the nicest jalfrezi i have ever tasted, Along with fresh lassi and the starting Papadums and dips it was a well prepared and presented meal with very friendly and courtious staff who took care to note any specific requests and were more than happy to recommend items from the menu, Would definitely visit again :D
My daughters 11th birthday... and I told her we could go anywhere for her birthday meal and she picked here ;)..... we have been coming here a few years now.... so I guess the fact she picked here speaks for itself! 10/10 absolutely buzzing she picked here, gorgeous food.
2nd visit absolutely gorgeous food with nice friendly staff we will definitely be back x
Came in for a curry with a few other lads from Peterborough before the football match on good friday, Food was fantastic and that peshwari naan was the biggest and best I have ever had. Highly recommended.
The Pathia was super dry in the Sheesh Mahal, and Bradford, way, and deconstructed in appearance, with the major elements visible. It was a substantially hearty portion, dense with meat - cut small - with barely any evidence of sauce at all! The saucy aspect was so minimal that even browned markings on the meat from the fast and hot cooking process were noticeable. The meat on this occasion was perhaps a little tough but packed, infused even, with the sour lemon juicy zingy hit. It packed a punch too, with plenty of heat, but not uncomfortably so. The dish was perfectly seasoned and had added vibrancy from fresh coriander. It was a great dish. The two perfect roti's (either chapati's, naan or roti's are included in the price of the curry) were more than enough bread for the curry. Limited dippage, due to minimal sauce, but utilised effectively to transfer bucket loads of Pathia to my mouth - nothing more needed.
I recently dined at sheeshmahal, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The food was exceptional, with a diverse menu that catered to various tastes. Each dish showcased fresh, high-quality ingredients and exquisite flavors.
The service was equally impressive, with attentive staff providing a seamless dining experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the waitstaff demonstrated a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness.
personally i liked it but don't know about your taste buds😋
The food was yummy and hot. Came out really quickly and a beautiful taste can not fault it at all. Cleanliness could be better but the food makes up for it. Brilliant raita too. We got the tawa for 3 and a drink bill came to £40.
"The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! Each dish is bursting with flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite is a culinary delight. You won't be disappointed!"
My first visit with friends, i ordered a chicken karahi apna style, which was delicious i will definetley be going again soon.
My second visit and we tried the Tawa for 3, which was very tasty and i recommend it.
We are visiting friends from Lincoln and had a lovely meal here. Me and my husband are vegetarian, and we had the vegetable korma and Rogan josh. The food was delicious, giant samosa to start were amazing and huge !! Our waiter was really lovely and looked after us. Will be returning on our next visit to Bradford. Highly recommend this place for a decent curry. Prices are very reasonable too. 👍👍
I bumped into Sheesh Mahal, on a recommendation from a bouncer in town. Sheesh Mahal is a very tidy and bright building and stands out very clearly, it was the light at the end of the tunnel for my stomach which had gone without food for most of the day!
I was greeted very cordially by one of the wait staff (I forgot to get his name... ((You are a legend my man, you know who you are!)) ), Who sat me at a table and provided me a pickle tray and poppadoms very promptly.
I was given enough time and space to look through the menu and decide what I wanted to eat. There was plenty of choice, but despite that, I requested something off menu on the off chance that the chefs might be able to create what my stomach was craving... "The Legend" told me that they could indeed cater to my stomachs imagination, and so I settled with an Anchor mixed with Makahani!
Whilst waiting for my meal, "The Legend" brought me a very tasty chilled lemon and lime drink, which I am led to believe is a traditional Pakistani creation. This went down very well throughout my meal, and as I slowly made my way through the poppadoms and pickle tray.
The main course arrived and the presentation and temperature of the food was fantastic!
The taste of the Achar/Makahani blend was to DIE for! I have had both these dishes individually but together was a match made in heaven, in particular the addition of raisins and mixed nuts to the dish created a mini adventure with each bite!
All this came to a VERY reasonable ~£14.00, which is a bargain at twice the price!
All in all I am gutted that I haven't been to this restaurant before, and I will definitely return!
Thanks Mr Legend and the whole team at Sheesh Mahal.
A very satisfied customer!
Just ordered, one of the best curry's 5 around...
A place where we go once a year as we are from outside Bradford.. not as well known but their food is absolutely spot on.. the starters and curries and on par if not better than the more famous names in Bradford. Definitely recommend
The food was excellent, the manager was great and looked after us although his waiters need to smile and be a bit more attentive as we were constantly looking for one of them when we needed something. Main course was very good. Menu and table were a little dirty so need to keep on top of cleaning.
Visited with my son last night. Service was good. Son ordered a mutton curry. I ordered chicken. Good portions. The mutton curry was very heavy in garam masala. Tasted a bit dry. Chicken curry was pretty decent. Rotis were really good. The mild sauce and green chilli puree were outstanding! If we're ever local again I'd definitely revisit. Not as good as made out by locals. But definitely not bad
Great place to visit. Food is exceptional and good service. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend.
